Wow.

Dwight vs Andy was GOLD, Michael/Holly was heartbreaking, and Jim/Pam were completely and utterly adorable. Andy getting ready to yell at Dwight coming out of the bathroom, only for Stanley to be the Manley and back Boner Champ down was HILARIOUS. Dwight and Andy tussling over who controls the table was HILARIOUS. Michael and Holly singing together, and Darryl actually joining in, was GENIUS. "Interviewee will be applying to Dartmouth, ever heard of it?"

After the initial triple singing in the truck, Michael/Holly pulled at my heart strings. That was pretty aching to watch, although once again we get a TWSS and another prime Michael line - "Did Darryl touch you?" in the middle of it.

JAM went well tonight. The brothers came off obnoxious, but I'm sure that was the point of the "prank". Jim instinctually jumping in to defend Pam and her life/decisions was "Aw" worthy. And Pam's "How about at Thanksgiving we 'prank' him about being bald?" was money.

Triple Halpert look at the camera was the money shot but Dwight/Andy is the best thing the show has done so far this season.

I'd say Adolf Beesley was the money shot.

This was an episode that kind of felt like Star Wars Episode III in that I knew about Amy Ryan leaving, so something horribly bad would be going down to exorcise her from the show. I suppose it's better than suddenly having to return to your home planet, but still...why can't Michael Scott EVER catch a break? Man.

Creed as The Joker was awesome on all seven levels of Heaven. I thought Ryan's costume was Bill Lumbergh from Office Space.

It's really amazing that this show keeps exceeding my expectations.

Thoughts:

-Creed,Kevin, and Dwight as the three Jokers made my day. Especially when Dwight had to re-open the elevator door to utter the pencil line.

-Who knew that everyone in the truck loved 'Life is a Highway', including Darrell (who I thought was originally annoyed by it)?

-Yeah, it was sad to see Michael/Holly seperated, though it cracked me up to see him sobbingly admit that he would go straight back to Jan. That said, I think Micheal is right: it's not over by a long shot.

-The Cornell stuff was tremendous. You knew that Drew was going to get crap for that at some point and Dwight delivered in spades. My favorite part was the matching Dwight/Big Red bobbleheads.

-I really don't know what to make of Jim's brothers. Maybe they were just pranking, but they really came off as pricks in doing so.

I tohught so, too. Though now that I think about it, Gordon Gekko is so much appropriate for him.

So now that Holly's out, this means Toby gets to come back soon, right? I hope so, because even though Holly was a great character, I miss Michael abusing him even more than I thought I would.

I also liked Merideth's take on Cornell men.

I could have used a little more Halloween Office, I liked where it was all going.

Creed was awesome.

Daryl calling on the phone during the breakup had me laughing as well.

The entire Cornell stuff was awesome, but my favorite part of the bit was Creed saying "It's colonel, the highest rank in the army" (or something to that effect)

Pam sitting at her desk in full costume and everybody else in normal clothing was the funniest part for me.

Can anyone tell me what Kelly's costume was? I watched the scene three times, and still couldn't understand what she said. And I loved when Dwight made fun of Andy for "barely outselling Phyllis". I thought we might see another fist through the wall when Dwight brought out the Big Red bear.

There were a few bright spots, though IMO not a hugely funny episode. I thought they'd go a little more with the Halloween stuff, because seriously.....Kevin was up since FOUR!

I think they don't want to repeat themselves, since they already did a costume episode in season 2. I guess they could make it a tradition in the same way they always do a Christmas party.

Kelly was Carrie Bradshaw. I wonder if there's a deleted scene on the website where she tells the story about running into the girl she used to babysit. If not, that's a pretty great extra-subtle joke.

She said "I'm Carrie Bradshaw from Sex in the City" when whoever asked what her costume was at the very beginning. That may have been her only line of the show.

I also thought Ryan was Lumbergh, mostly from the way he was holding his coffee. Larry King was a nice guess, though.

I bet Holly returns later in the season, just as Michael goes crawling back to Jan.

I love how Michael was still able to mumble a "that's what she said" during the break-up.

It was funny. The Lovely Mrs. Tracker turned to me during the game and asked "do you find that attractive?" And we all know that's a trap question. I didn't care. "Yeah," I replied. "She looks great. Look at that jacket collar....
