Well, they certainly are not wasting any money on a fancy belt, are they?

That's just the "X" title. I bet they paid the extra $1.99 for polish on the NWA belt.
(EDIT: "Polish on the NWA." Uhh, riiiight.)

They're spending it all on country singers and NASCAR drivers.

Duh.

Calling that belt "trash" would be giving it a compliment!

It's nothing but a blown-up version of St. Francis Xavier University's (Antigonish, Nova Scotia) classic "X" graduation ring!

Looks like something a backyard fed would use.

Was this made in shop class?

The whole concept is weird. It's not the Cruiser or Hardcore. It's just the throw all the jobbers in a division and give them a belt title.

I was under the impression it was essentially a cruiserweight title, but they didn't want to include people who work "cruiserweight style" but are a bit bigger. Shrug.

I took another good, long, look at that title belt, and I swear, I think I saw a belt made from that exact, same material in a "Toys 'R' Us".

It reminds me of the "Young Guns" Title Lawler made as a promotional vehicle for Brian Christopher back in the USWA.

Well, in theory that could be O.K. But wrestling is just so good at sticking with it's stipulations after all. At least a Cruiser belt has a weight limit. No one knows what it is or how much the wrestlers actually weigh but it is there. If Albert became the CW champ people would know that is BS. But the "X" champ could be anyone.

So, uh, who is fighting for this belt again? What's the point? Why not go for the big belt instead of the X-Belt? it isn't a weight restriction, it isn't a style restriction (like Hardcore, which has it's own stigma.)

That's kind of a cool idea, the "X" title. So you'll see the high-flying action of cruiserweights, but it's not limited to weight - it's limited to who can do the high-flying style of wrestling. Very interesting....
