WWF/WCW World Heavyweight Title Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin d. Chris Jericho (C)
Call me jaded and cynical (“Hey man, you're jaded and cynical”), but I just think there's still NO WAY that Austin won't be in the WrestleMania main event. As much as I would love to see Chris Jericho win this thing, I just can't see it happening...
...unless the nWo is somehow involved in making it happen. But my prediction for what the nWo will do is later in the event.
So, without that outside interference, Austin wins, dammit all to hell, becoming the first-ever 7-time WWF Champion.
#1 Contender's Match
Kurt Angle d. Triple H
Here's where the nWo comes in, in my opinion (and I hope I'm wrong). Hogan, Hall and Nash or some combination of the three interfere in this match, costing Triple H his shot at WrestleMania. The main event will be Austin vs. Angle.
And believe me, I hope I'm wrong. I'd like to see Y2J-HHH myself.
The Rock d. The Undertaker
The Rock was the last one to get his ass kicked before the PPV. Therefore, he wins at the PPV. Besides, 'Taker doesn't seem to have a good record against The People's Champion.
Golddust d. Rob Van Dam
I'm gonna go against the pack and say Golddust pulls out a win here, but RVD gets it back at WrestleMania. This feud could drag out painfully long.
WWF/WCW World Tag Team Championship
Spike Dudley and Tazz (C) d. TNT
What, you think that TNT's gonna get the win here, only to lose the titles to the Hardy Boyz AGAIN??? Well... that's a possibility. Another possibility is that Spike and Tazz are merely keeping the belts warm for The Outsiders. I favor that one, so Spike and Tazz retain here. But I don't see 'em remaining tag team champions for more than another month afterwards.
WWF Intercontinental/WCW U.S. Heavyweight Title
Edge d. William Regal (C)
...Damn, this feud is carrying on too long. Yo, WWF: Edge has been winning and losing the I-C Title belt repeatedly, making it WORTH LESS. The trend will continue at No Way Out in my estimation, with Edge winning the Intercontinental Title for the 1,748,245th time only to lose it again at WrestleMania.
Tag-Team Turmoil
Billy and Chuck defeat all those other guys
Damn it all. Billy and Chuck, doing the Ambigiously Gay Duo? I thought Lenny and Lodi were much, much better at it. But nooooo, WCW couldn't possibly let two lower-carders keep a gimmick that would actually get them over, could they? Anyway. These two guys have been getting too much TV time as of late-- time that could be better spent, in my opinion, on guys who can actually wrestle worth a damn. (Perish the thought). So, the inexplicable push continues here, but it doesn't really matter because the tag-team division is about to be dominated by The Outsiders for the next 71-and-a-half years.
Other Matches?
I could see Tajiri making an impromptu defense of the WWF World Cruiserweight Title either in the early-card or on Heat. Expect him to retain if he does so.
Who's the Hardcore Champion again? Maven? Look for him to be involved in some way, shape or form in this card. Perhaps with a title defense of his own?
Expect “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan to defend the WCW World Television Title on Heat. And did you actually think the highlight of the evening would be the nWo? Nooo... on Sunday, Rhyno makes his first defense of the ECW Unifed World Heavyweight Championship in over a year!

"Oh - oh! Well well well well! It's twenty-four hours after the Royal Rumble and GUESS who is still the Undisputed Champion of the World - ME! Yeah, and I tried to warn all of you - I tried to tell you I was not a joke. I tried to tell you to take me seriously, but what did you do, huh? What did you do? On Sunday, you invited all your little friends over to watch the Royal Rumble, you called up Frank and said, 'hey Frank, you wanna come watch the Rock kick Chris Jericho's ass?' And Frank said, Frank said 'oh sure, I wanna see the Rock win the Undisputed Championship and go all the way to WrestleMania.' I mean, it's a foregone conclusion, right? The Rock is gonna win! The Rock is gonna win! The Rock is going to win, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU believed in your hearts that the Rock was going to win but GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. The Rock - The Rock - The Rock...LOST. CHRIS JERICHO - WON. And even if you don't like it, you have to appreciate and acknowledge all that I've accomplished, because everything that I've done is far too gigantic to be ignored!"
Tag Team Turmoil: Hardys- My outside pick is that Hall and Nash show up at this destroy whatever teams are left, and claim the title shot at Wrestlemania
Spike and Tazz vs. TNT: Booker & Test
Edge vs. Regal: Edge
RVD vs. Goldust: RVD
Rock vs. Taker: Taker
Angle vs. HHH: HHH
Y2J vs. Austin: Austin (but I'm really pulling for Jericho)
Chance I will get even half of these predictions right: not good
Damn, this is the hardest PPV to predict in some time. I mean, there are sooo many directions they could go here, and everybody has a different theory on what WM will shape up to be. The one thing I really can't see is them going with Austin vs. Angle at WM. Waaay too overdone for the big event. Yes, I know Rock vs. Austin was overdone too, but at last years's even they had not wrestled one on one in a year.
It's definitely not like last year when the main event at WM was a foregone conclusion. I guess it's better this way-being so unpredictable- but it's frustrating trying to figure things out.
Tag Team Turmoil: Either the Hardyz or Vince's last minute addition of The Outsiderz. Either way Spazz loses the titles on free TV and WM features Hardyz vs. Outsiders.
As a side note did anyone else notice the looks of fear on Christian, and the Dudleyz' faces when Flair announced that the Hardyz were coming back. And the complete lack of emotion from Storm. Excellent.
Tag Team Championship: Spazz wins by a fluke, but see my Tag Team Turmoil prediction.
IC Championship: Edge wins 'cause Regal isn't over
RVD/Goldust: I have no freaking clue who will win this one so I'll say RVD 'cause I'm a mark for the guy.
Rock/Taker: Rocky needs to win eventually so I say now is as good a time as any.
Angle/HHH: HHH gets screwed by Steph and/or the nWo
Jericho/Austin: Austin
Everything's cool when you're Yun [point] Cheol [point] Su [point]
Rock/Taker: Undertaker. Rock's has one, count it ONE, win in singles matches at ppv's since his return. And that was way back at Summerslam against Booker T. (He did win a handicap match, and was the last man left at Survivor Series.) Other than that he has been a jobber to Chris Jericho three times. I say he jobs here, for the third ppv in a row, and gets it back at X-8. That way he gets his Wrestlemania win and ends the Undertakers undefeated streak.
Angle/HHH: HHH. I say no nWo in this match.
Austin/Jericho: Jericho. nWo makes it's presence felt.
Just wanted to add that Royal Rumble was alot easier to predict than No Way Out. That's a good sign for this ppv.

Updating Ohio State's basketball record could get to be a chore. Just remember, Michigan sucks.
TagTeamTurmoil: Ambiguously Gay Duo Tag Championship: T&T IC Title Brass Knuckles Pole on a pole match: Edge, because Regal's had the belt for WAY TOO LONG (what, it's been like a month now right?) Sssick Freeeak on a Pole Match: Golddust, cos if they job him he's done for Grudgematch on a Pole match:Awesometaker, who is awesome, with a little help from nWo #1 Condendership on a flaming Pole match: HHH, because the nWo doesn't like angle World Pole Championship: Jericho, cos the nWo feels better about itself with one of their past jobbers holding a title; ie, it makes it more beliveable to steal it.
Anyway, I'm more interested in the WWA ppv at this point.
Turmoil - Hardyz TNT - I don't think they have enough faces for T and Test to have a singles feud at Wrestlemania, so they'll be there as the tag champs against the Hardyz. Edge RVD Taker - NWO interference. I hope the NWO interfere here, because if Austin/Jericho is the last match with no sign of NWO, it will be ruined by the crowd waiting for the NWO run-in. HHH - May have a semi-swerve where Steph may screw Angle to give Trips the victory to show that she'll do anything to get back with H, but Trips will turn her away again anyway saying he doesn't need her help. Jericho - Jericho is going to Wrestlemania.
Undisputed Title Match Chris Jericho defeats SCSA with some help from the nWo
#1 Contendors Match Remember when Vince McMahon said he was going to do something even he would regret? This is it. The nWo takes no sides and helps Trips defeat Kurt Angle and go to WrestleMania.
Rock defeats Undertaker- I like the feud these two had about 2 years better. I miss the rock saying "Mickey Mouse tattoos."
Goldust defeats RVD by devious means thus continuing this feud that will be settled at WM.
Spike and Tazz defeat Test/Booker T- I hate sloppily thrown together matches. WM needs a "Holy Shit" tag title match and Test/Booker T ain't gonna do it, but Tazz and Spike certainly will.
Edge defeats Regal- First of all any "on a pole match" pisses me off. This is not 1986. I'll go with Edge for no apparent reason.
Tag Team Turmoil- Hardy Boyz because as I said earlier WM needs the "Holy Shit" tag match and Billy and Chuck are not going leaping off of ladders and going through tables anytime soon.
If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like "Hey, look. He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink.
#1 Contendors Match Remember when Vince McMahon said he was going to do something even he would regret? This is it.
I don't disagree with Ffej, but I'm hoping that it goes a little bit differently. Vince comes out to root on his daughter (and therefore Angle). Triple H takes control later in the match, and so Vince motions for the nWo to come out. They do, but as they come to the ring, here comes Linda. Linda tells her husband that she's still mad at him because she feels that she's still being treated like dirt. And that all of his crimes are because of his love of the WWF, so she plans on destroying it so he will come home. She then tells Vince that he didn't learn anything from his son last March. So yes while the nWo are being headed by a McMahon, it's not Vince McMahon, it's Linda McMahon. Oh yeah, and Stephanie don't ever slap your mother again. The nWo, along with Triple H (hey when was the last time, a faction that we were supposed to take seriously *didn't* have a World Title threat and please don't tell me I have to settle for Hogan :p ) proceed to beat the crap out of Vince, Stephanie and Angle. Out comes a different referee and counts the 1-2-3 for Triple H. Ok, Ok, that does seem too logical the way things have been going lately, but... It does however allow Triple H and Austin have the match they seemed like they were building for at the Royal Rumble.
Rock vs. Undertaker- Undertaker wins. They still need to get him more over as a badass and the Rock doesn't need the win.
Goldust vs RVD. Goldust wins.
Spike and Tazz vs Test/Booker T- Outsider interference allows Spike and Tazz to win. Set it up to make it look like the Outsiders would prefer to meet Spike and Tazz
Edge vs Regal- Unless there's a run-in allowing Edge to transfer his "anger", I hope like hell Edge wins, because otherwise I don't see this feud ending. (Regal cheats to win, Edge is still made at him, still thinks he can beat him)
Tag Team Turmoil- Outsiders wipe out one of the teams on Heat ala Test at the Survivor Series Battle Royal. We don't actually see it, we just find one of the teams (personally I think Billy and Chuck would be perfect) wiped out with the familiar nWo spray painting as Heat fades out. The Outsiders take the teams spot in the match and end up winning it all.
WWF Title match: Jericho over Austin. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The WWF is not run by idiots. They know when the time is right to job new main eventers, and when it's time to get behind them. I'm sure they realize a loss to Austin could kill Jericho's career. He will be champ at Wrestlemania, and it will make his career just like it did for anyone else who fought for the WWF Title at Wrestlemania (Sid, Yokozuna).
Triple H vs Angle: Angle with NWO's help. This will lead to a Jericho vs Angle vs Triple H triple threat title match at Mania, while Austin fights Hogan and the Outsiders fight Undertaker and Kane. Undertaker will seem to turn face before the PPV, only to turn on Kane and go NWO during the match (ala Austin at Invasion last year).
Undertaker vs The Rock: The Rock. I have no idea where this whole scenario (meaning, the one I am predicting in this post) will leave the Rock come Wrestlemania. All the main eventers will be busy elsewhere, and I see no midcarder that would benefit from being beaten by The Rock at Mania.
RVD vs Golddust: Golddust. Much like Jericho, a loss here would be devestating to Golddust. He can't lose his return match after so much build up. This results in Van Dam beating him in a ladder match for the IC Title at Mania (after Golddust beats Regal for it on RAW Monday).
Regal vs Edge: I hate "on a pole" matches. Any gimmick match where the gimmick has potentially no effect on the outcome of the match (you don't HAVE to grab the knuckles to win the match) is silly. Regal gets the win, because another title reign for Edge at this point would be bad for both him and the title. Edge then beats Regal clean at Wrestlemania, maybe in a cage match.
Spike & Tazz vs Booker T & Test: TNT. I love this tag team. Spike and Tazz have served their purpose. They were underdog champs who held the belts long enough to allow the WWF to build up some new teams. This will lead to TNT vs Hardyz at Wrestlemania for the title, while Spike and Tazz go on to face Gunn/Palumbo at Mania.
Tag Team Turmoil: Hardyz win in their return match, hopefully frsh enough and healthy enough to challenge for the titles at Mania.

If you set your expectations low enough, you will never fail.
I expect Jericho to beat Austin in some kind of screwjob.
Edge over Regal.
Rock over Undertaker, because they need at least one face to win the main event in order to make the crowd happy.
Goldust over RVD.
TNT over Tazz/Spike
Chuckabilly to win Tag Team Turmoil.
Angle over Triple H---the big matches on TV over the next month will involve HHH fighting to get back the Wrestlemania title shot.
I expect the NWO will get involved in matches [probably Austin/Jericho, maybe Rock/Undertaker], but don't expect them to actually wrestle, and doubt they will appear until the end.

WWF World Heavyweight Title: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Steve Austin MY PICK: Chris Jericho
The Rock vs. The Undertaker MY PICK: The Rock
WWF #1 Contender To The World Heavyweight Title: Kurt Angle vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley MY PICK: HHH
Rob Van Dam vs. Goldust MY PICK: Rob Van Dam
WWF World Tag-Team Titles: Spike and Tazz (c) vs. Booker T and Test MY PICK: Booker T and Test
WWF Intercontinental Title: William Regal (c) vs. Edge MY PICK: William Regal
Tag-Team Turmoil: Lance Storm and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Acolytes vs. Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert vs. Billy and Chuck vs. The Hardy Boyz MY PICK: Billy and Chuck
Although after I sent that, I read Online Onslaught where Rick made a good point about setting up Tazz/Spike vs. Dudleys to end that feud at WM X-8. Makes sense, but we`ve see Spike & vs. Dudleys so many times. I picked Billy & Chuck because they don`t lose. Seriously, have they lost since their push began?
Billy and Chuck lost once that I can remember. It was last week in the triple threat tag title match on Raw. Spike pinned one of them after the recently eliminated APA stuck their nose in. Other than taht, no, I don't think they've lost.
"How about the power to kill a yak from a hundred yards...with MIND bullets?!! That called tele-kenisis, Kyle."
Why: nWo does their run-in of the night causing much damage to Austin, and assures that they're the last thing you see as the PPV goes off the air...
WWF #1 Contenders Match:
HHH (#1) v. Kurt Angle (Special Guest Ref: Stephanie)
Pick: HHH
Why: I think Angle's a red herring to put the HHH/Jericho match at Mania in doubt. Steph gets Pedigreed and another ref makes the three count for HHH.
Special WWF Grudge Match:
The Rock v. The Undertaker
Pick: The Rock
Why: Rock so often loses on PPV, and he'll probably job to someone at Mania. Plus, Taker's been on a bit of a depush lately, so Rock gets a win.
Another Grudge Match:
Rob Van Dam v. Golddust
Pick: RVD
Why: Golddust has yet to get over, RVD is very over. Van Dam gets the win, and Dust moves a little further down the card until he finds his niche.
IC Title Knux on a Pole Match:
William Regal (c) v. Edge
Pick: Edge
Why: The culmination of the Brass Knuckles story as Regal gets his own weapon used against him and Edge gets the title back.
WWF Tag Team Title Match:
Tazz and Spike (c) v. TnT
Pick: TnT
Why: Tazz and Spike SHOULD retain here, but they won't. TnT get the tag belts here, as the belts drift for a bit until the WWF Split.
Tag Team Turmoil:
Hardyz v. Too Albert v. APA v. Billy + Chuck v. The Dudleyz v. Storm + Christian
Pick: The Hardy Boyz
Why: It comes down to the Hardyz and the Dudleyz for the umpteenth time. The Outsiders make an appearence and destroy everyone, but the Hardyz are able to make the cover and win.
