Nintendo hasn't released full specs yet, but so far it's known that it plays GameCube games, uses its own 12cm Optical Disks, will fully support high definition gaming, has free online play out of the box, and that gamers will be able to download classic Nintendo games ranging from "Donkey Kong to Super Mario Sunshine" from Nintendo's online service.

At least people can't complain now that Nintendo belongs in the Fischer-Price toy catalog ... Nice and "techy"-looking, good job Nintendo!
For those that don’t know, the Tiger Mask character was based on a Japanese cartoon, so Misawa stepping out of that and becoming the best wrestler in his country would be kind of like Chris Benoit doing a Darkwing Duck gimmick and then becoming the Chris Benoit we all mark over. - AWC
Originally posted by GamespotEschewing its previous business ideas, Revolution will be online-friendly, and support a broadband gaming service similar to that of Microsoft's Xbox Live. Its most significant contribution to online gaming will be the ability to download games, and not just simple puzzlers or platformers from the NES days. GameCube titles have "the potential" to be downloadable, though it's not clear whether the games will be saved to a storage devices or memory cards.
Did anyone else read this and immediately think "New Super Smash Bros. Melee updates"?
Smash Brothers Melee updates? At todays pre-E3 press conference the President of Nintendo announced that one of the launch titles for the Revolution would be Smash Brothers ONLINE! Not to mention that online gaming would be completely free on the Revolution.
Commence drooling. =D~
