I think they should leave the belt on Brock until the December pay per view.(If he's not drawing. Otherwise, leave it on him until Wrestlemania).
In the meantime, you could build up the new crop of main events because face it, it's time. Rock is leaving for a movie, Kurt's going to the Olympics, Hogan and Undertaker should, (keyword:SHOULD) retire in 2003, Austin is gone indefinitly. Triple H has one more good run with the belt in him but I think he should let the other guys have a crack at it before his next reign. So what can the WWE do?
I truely think that RVD should be the one to take the belt off of Brock. RVD is extremely over and if built up right, he can be a pretty great undisputed champion. From now until Wrestlemania, have him keep the IC title until Survivor Series and then start a feud with Angle, Hogan or Undertaker and WIN THE FEUD, to get the rub. Then have him win the Rumble and take the belt off of Brock at Wrestlemania.
Eddie Guerrero should get the IC title and have a good run with it. Maybe feud with Benoit.
Benoit should start being built up NOW as a formidable HEEL. And i know just the way to do it. Have him destroy Hogan, Undertaker, and Booker T.
Until Wrestlemania, I would want to see Booker T and Edge become serious challengers for the belt. Hyped up feuds and ppv main events...but successful title defenses. Have Brock beat them as well as everyone else until WM and RVD.
Having a return feud with Jericho and HHH would be perfect in the middle of all this but i doubt it will happen. Having Jericho FINALLY overcome HHH will be just the catalyst to make him a top guy and throw him back in the world title mix. Have him be the guy to feud with RVD after WM.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Feel free to add in any ideas any of you have.
Did Angle make his Olympic announcement today? Because, while, yes he's thinking about it, from what I've heard, all the people he's asked about it (coach's, other ahtlete's etc.) have advised Angle AGAINST going. When it happens I'll believe it. (doing his best Christopher Walken) Please. Believe. It.
On the seventh day God Didn't REST! He sat on his can and played No Mercy for sixteen hours. THEN he rested.

For what it is worth, I saw a brief blurb about Rulon Gardner on ESPN last night. They mentioned his survival of the snowmobile incident and the fact that he lost a toe due to hypothermia. I beleive they also said that the hopefuls were already gathering somewhere for some sort of function (okay, it isn't a direct quote, my wife was talking to me and I couldn't make out every detail). I don't believe it was the "trials" or anything like that, but I would think that if Angle was bound for the Olympics he would have been there yesterday. This is simply conjecture, I'm making a lot of assumptions.

It's a good idea, but this is assuming that they'd want to put the belt on guys who are actually over. Plus, RVD and Brock have had some pretty entertaining matches, with Brock powerbombing the shit outta RVD, who rallies at the end.
I'm a fan of RVD, but he's gotten pretty stale. He needs to start mixing up his offense, because it's not as eye-popping as it was a year ago.

There's a very simple reason why RVD will never get the World title. He's stated on more than one occasion that he's not here for the long-term, and that he'll be checking out when his contract expires (approx. spring 2004). So for those of you who think RVD will someday be Undisputed champ, dream on. The Federation will never put their top title on someone who isn't in it for the long haul.
Can I just say: Triple H sucks, I hate his guts, and I would experience joyful glee if he died and went to hell tomorrow? Thank you. I can't believe I was once a fan of the man... and I'll never forgive him for single-handedly destroying Chris Jericho's career. (I told you months back that jobbing the belt would mean the end for Chris - the PPV record speaks for itself.) Please, Stephanie, please. Please be smart and see the light. Please see that this man, Mr. Levesque, is doing more to destroy your company than the Orange Goblin ever did, and dump him on his ass. Please.

They want Edge. I don't think he should take it off Brock. I think Angle needs to do that after a few squashes. That way Brock doesn't lose his monster rep by losing to an inexperienced maineventer. Then Edge can take a face run with the title setting up a feud with Brock or Benoit once Edge is an established top man.
Oh yeah and HHH tapping to the Walls (or the lion tamer) at WM equals one very happy ZIMMERMAN.

They'll never put their top tile on someone who isn't in it for the long haul? What about Rock's cameo title run just a few weeks ago? He's gone already!

But The Rock *will* be back. We're talking long-term.
Why would he bust his ass in indy federations, learning a few martial arts, put his body on the line in ECW, even create a lift which he holds the world record for and then work in the WWE and QUIT BEFORE HE CAN REACH THE TOP?
I think Kane going after Brock would be great. Two huge monsters. Also they have the chance to take Angle against Brock. I dont think i've seen an announcement about his Olympic hopes.
Both those angles could be played out over a decent period of time giving them a chance to bring the up and comers to the main event level.
WBTD, that whole "RVD is quitting once his contract expires" is bullplop. It cropped up earlier this year when it emerged that he ALLEGEDLY voiced concerns about his career not going anywhere in the fed and was CONSIDERING leaving once his contract expired. No mention of definately quitting at the end of his run, not even any proper confirmation that he was even thinking of it. In fact, I tihnk you may be getting confused with Booker, who DID state on (ex)WWF.com that he was going to call it a career at the end of his current contract. The real reason the company won't get behind van Dam is that he can't cut a promo to save his life. Simple as that.

Fuck Kane. Kane sucks.
Bret Hart has a better chance than Booker T to be the Undisputed Champion in 2003.
And that's coming from a guy who considers Booker T to be the best thing going in the company right now.
He's retiring when his contract retires next year, he's said so himself, on WWE.com. Unless he changes his mind, he ain't getting the Undisputed Title.
