I also agree that Billy Ray Cyrus should NOT be on the list. Coulda Been Me was a hit, and there were other songs that charted as well off his debut album.
Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house... Crow T. Robot- A man? Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter. Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her. Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!

What about whatever band sang that song "Closing Time"
I don't remember LFO having more than one hit, nor Lou Bega or Crash Test Dummies, at least in America.
Sir-Mix-Alot had another hit in the US - Put 'em on the Glass.
I'm thinking of a song that came out around the same time as Nada Surf's Popular, but I can't remember what it is now...I could before I started typing this though.
EDIT: I just rememebered. The Verve Pipe. It was either called The Freshman or Freshman. Only major hit they had, I have the CD, that's about the only song I really dig on it though.
EDIT x 2: Also...Here Comes the Hotsteppa'. I have no idea who sings this, but, I know for a fact it was their only song. I think it is being used in the same Girls Gone Wild infomercials that Petey Pablo's recent "hit" Freak-a-leek is played on. Not that I'd know firsthand or anything...

What about Londonbeat's "I've Been Thinking About You"? Also, I can't remember the band's name, but it was some horrible rap ballad with a chorus that went "She looked like a girl from Abercrombie & Fitch."
In all fairness, SeVen's in Japan, so I don't think he gets the same Crash Test Dummies exposure that we do.

I worked at the Warner Bros. Studio Store when that song came out, and I remember it played on a CONSTANT loop in the video packages that they played in the store. It grew on me, in only the way a song that's hammered into your head 572 times a day can.
Between that, that song from "Space Jam" with all the rappers, and the GOD DAMN REMBRANDTS, I about damn near jammed a pencil into my ears just so I could have something decent to listen to.
Another of my favorite one hit wonders: "Return of the Mack" by a guy I don't even remember anymore. The first time I heard it (97-98, perhaps?), I knew by the bridge that this guy was destined to be a one hit wonder, and fizzle out by the end of the summer. And I was right.
Oh, and Sir Mix-a-lot does NOT belong on this list. He had a slew of hits: "Posse on Broadway", "Buttermilk Biscuits", that classic love ballad "Put 'em on the Glass", etc...

From 1993, Animal Bag's "Everybody". Had about a year-long run on some alternative and AOR stations.
1994's "Lucas with the Lid Off" by Lucas? Again, not a HUGE hit, but the alternative stations loved it at the time.

If you're not familiar with the tune, you've probably heard it used as background music, somewhere. Alot of companies/commericals would use it as their obligatory "background music for internet stuff", circa 95 or 96.
Ugly Kid Joe- "Everything about you" They had two other follow-up hits that got substantial airplay. "Neighbor" and "So Damn Cool".
Wang Chung- "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" Their earlier tune, "Dance Hall Days" was rather popular. Not as wildly popular as "Have Fun Tonight", but still noteworthy.
