Since we have the return of the Crotch-Chop Era, I feel important questions remain unanswered:
1) Is Joanie available to join the group, or is she busy filming Wonder Woman and T3? 2) Would Road Dogg get the same kind of chance that Scott Hall did? 3) Are the Torch wrong by predicting the binning of X-Pac? 4) Will Billy leave Chucky? 5) Is Rick Rude doing anything these days?

1: No. She's eating babies or something. She's not coming back.
2: Yes. He just got busted for pot, for god's sake. POT. JR's said in da Ross Report time and time again that "the door is open" if Road Dogg wants to come back.
3: Yes. They predicted the BANNING of X-Pac, not the "binning". That being said, if the writers hate him, and he hates the writers, then he's pretty much toast.
4: Hopefully.
5: Yes, he's dead, dummy.

Bad idea. I have no problem with HHH and Michaels getting back together (Um, I mean, 'Ooooh, I hate both them so much! They're the worst ever! HHH is the devil! He never makes his opponents look good! HBK has no mic skills! Baa! Baa!")
Sorry 'bout that, where was I?
Anyway, I have no problems with them recreating the old dynamic that led to the original DX, but I don't want a stable. Let X-Pac stay fired. Let Billy stay ambigously gay. Let Road Dogg stay fired. Let Chyna continue to be a "celebrity". Um, I don't think we really have much of a choice about Rick Rude...
That said, just the two of them. Let them recreate the old DX chemistry. I was just watching the uncensored "State of DX Adress" the other day. They were funny, and some actual charisma could only help HHH out, since this face version of his heel character wasn't working for anybody.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that this is not the "New New DX"; it's pretty much the original DX. The main difference? HHH has to carry the in-ring workload rather than HBK. Everyone keeps saying "DX is stale--remember the last time we saw DX?"
The last time you saw any DX is was a rehash of HHH, X-Crap, and NAO splitting up into crappy tag teams.
The last time you saw HBK and HHH as DX was Wrestlemania XIV, where Shawn left the WWF due to a back injury.
The latter DX never got stale...they were on top of the game but forced to call it quits because of an unfortunate accident. I for one always preferred the smaller, original DX, and now I have the chance to see them again. I don't feel like I'm being force-fed old crap. If this is handled well, I'm getting one of the most entertaining teams of the last ten years.

Yeah, the Nation, that would rule all. They could bring back Paul Bearer and have D'Lo win the Euro title and feud with Val Venis in 4 and a half star matches again. My point being it's NOT 1998. And until there's a Triple H/Michaels DX t-shirt it ain't DX. Although these two alone would be the only successful version of.
An open letter to Andrew Gilkison from me: Sir, I am no longer pleased with your product and thus will not read it. I am the consumer and your product is not living up to my expectations. I could open up an Andrew Gilkison message board and cry about it, but that's a waste of my time. In the meantime, I would suggest you work on improving your product. Thank you.
Watching RAW and Smackdown doesn't cost anymore than your posts do. And so, like a good consumer, I'm tuning you out.
I was someone who cheered the return/arrival of the nWo but I am not cheering any form of DX. Doing the shenanigans seems to be inevitable as they wanna try and make Bischoff's life miserable, but DX? No...the demise of the nWo taught me that this business is too hectic to bring it back. What if HHH injures himself and they have nobody left to wrestle? What if HBK crosses the line, what if someone joins and doesn't live up to the standards etc etc etc..
Nah..with this one I am all for saying No Way..

Am I the only one who thinks that the HHH/HBK reunion is a set up, and that HHH is going to get hit with the Sweet Chin Music tonight or sometime very soon? HHH is still a face (he just wants to have fun!) and HBK has been delivering ultimatums for weeks now. He also has backstory to attack HHH that they can pull out at any time. If HHH is a Raw face, he needs a Raw heel big enough to face at Summerslam, and who better to fill in for Nash than his second best friend, the Heartbreak Kid? I dunno, that's just the feeling I'm getting.
Last I heard, HBK wasn't available to wrestle at all.
Anyway... I did enjoy the original nWo coming back, and it was a good idea until the writers screwed it up. In order for the nWo to work, it had to beat people up, and start casting the suspicion of “is this guy gonna join the nWo?” onto everybody. And they had to all stay heel.
But nooo, they decided we have to have the return of Hulkamania. OK, then, how about turn it into a Clique stable? That might be interesting. But nooooo, Kevin Nash gets injured and they pull the plug on the whole damn thing.
I never liked DX to begin with, and besides-- the antics they did five years ago were soon made commonplace by a WWF that was soon filled with such characters as a porn star, a pimp, a druggie...
If the reformation of DX means a return to the Attitude era (not that either is a foregone conclusion yet), then they can just stay gone. I hated the Attitude era, and watched primarily WCW from 1997-1999. When The Radicalz left for the WWF, I left too... but by that point the objectionable content had been severely toned down. If they raise it back up, I'll have no WCW to turn to, and if it gets too bad, I may have to stop watching entirely.

Good call ekedolphin. If "Attitude" comes back with the crotch crops, suck it, and everything else, I think a lot of casual fans and WCW fans who hated this crap will just go "CLICK". I know I will.

Okay, DX was a stable. Right to Censor was a stable. nWo was a stable. Four Horsemen was a stable. Stables work because they have four guys with collective charisma [which is more than each individuals own charisma] working together to be the best. Heel or face. Heel stables work because they win so much due to cheating and evilness [nWo and RTC...and Horsemen] that you will pay to see them lose, eventually. You know that an equal face stable will show up and topple the heels. The Nation were evil...and then DX showed up and whupped 'em. The Nation worked because they were pompous...they were assholes...and they won. RTC were blowhards, but they won. Four Horsemen were just cool evilness, and they won.
The nWo v3.0 didn't work for the same reasons the InVasion didn't work: They didn't win. They weren't equals. I've said it before...the easiest way to build up a stable or a single wrestler is to have them beat EVERYBODY for a month or so. Then they have heat. Then you have something to work with. DX v3.0 could work...but hopefully WWF is smart enough to realize that yes, it isn't 1998 anymore. We don't need The Nation and The Horsemen and the NWO or anything like that. We just need WRESTLING. And if HHH and HBK teaming up leads to good wrestling, I'm all for it.

Well, you were close.

From 411ManiaPWInsider - - WWE has recently trademarked these names: Eugene, Mordecai, Hirohito, and Luther Rains. So the first three have been thoroughly analysed already, but 'Luther Rains'?
