I didn't know this either. Does he speak with an accent?
Yes...and no. He definitely has an accent, but, being a method actor, he tends to take on the accent of whatever role he's playing at the time. You'll see him in one interview using his Welsh accent, and in another using a Brooklyn accent. He doesn't shut it off when he's not filming.

From what I've heard, he normally reverts back to his usual accent between movies, but when he was doing the rounds promoting Batman Begins and Dark Knight, he kept his American accent, reportedly so people wouldn't be confused by the face that Batman wasn't being played by an American actor.
