The Nets have their eyes on a Blazers All-Star big man for the second straight offseason. According to league sources, the Nets and Portland have discussed swapping Kerry Kittles and Aaron Williams for Shareef Abdur-Rahim. While nothing is imminent, the Blazers are looking to trade their unhappy forward, who will receive $14.6 million in the final year of his contract.
Kidd, Jefferson, Abdur-Rahim, Martin, Collins (or Mourning if the rumors have any truth.)
This could work if this trade happens. The issue with the Nets is that with the Mourning kidney surgery and other factors, it was still the same team as last year whereas others (Detroit and Indiana) became much better.
Well at least one of my alma mater's teams made the NCAA tourney (depaulbluedemons.com). And as a number five seed no less. They could make some noise this year, as DePaul women are always well coached and solid teams.
