Well, here we stand at the most important weekend of football all week long. Jets @ Oakland, KC @ Seattle, Baltimore @ Minnesota. A Seattle win combined with a loss by either NYJ or Baltimore and YOUR Seattle Seachickens get into the playoffs, the rat finks. I'm not sure which team makes it if both Baltimore and NYJ lose and Seattle wins, though. Frankly, I don't care, either. It's 1 and Out in 2002, baybee! GO SEACHICKENS~!

The most important weekend...

unless you're Philly and Tampa.

Being a virulent anti-NY fan, I'm giddy at the thought of both the Jets and G-Men being out of the playoffs.

Of course, I wish there was a way that both the Jets and the loathsome Ravens could be kept out of the playoff picture.

"The most important weekend of football all week long."

Good one.

On this last weekend, let's not forget the lesser teams this year. Teams like Carolina and Detroit. After all, without them.... without them.... something would happen. Namely, the division records of everyone else in the NFC West/Central wouldn't look quite as good.

We should also thank the Vikings, for whom without them, the Lions and Panthers would still be winless.

ESPN is reporting the axing of Dennis Green, barring a last minute change of heart by the owner. What a shame. That'll put us down to 2 black head coaches in the NFL again. Terrific. god bless the good ol boys network.

Everyone thinks everyone is RACIST. Denny Green is a bad coach. He makes bad decisions, he has a horrid public reputation, his players despise him, and he tends to change game plans durring big contests. MAN I wish they would have kept him. As a Packer fan, he was my 2nd favorite coach in the NFL.

Boy, if Denny Green is a bad coach, I wish the Seahawks could get a bad coach once in a while. Even with this horrible season, Green's well over .500 in Minnesota. Mike Holmgren, cheesehead? 23-24 with the Hawks. Tells the fans to go fuck themselves. MAKES HORRID PERSONNEL DECISIONS. Yeah, give me a bad coach, PLEASE.

HA!

If you think Green is a better coach than HOLMGREN, you shouldnt be a football fan. Check out the Packers records in the early Homlgren days, and then tell me we should have fired his ass after TWO YEARS.

THINK!

Looking at Mike Sherman, it's painfully obvious a chimpanzee could have coached the Super Bowl teams to that place. Holmgren's nothing without Fritz, and he's even less with the GM tag. Oh, how I long for the Chuck Knox days.

I give up.

But I WILL say THIS, I would LOVE to get Holmgren back in titletown. I like Sherman a lot, so maybe they could share power, gm & coach, or something. But he is a GREAT coach.

Is Sherman the GM too? If he isn't, I could see MH going back there to do that job. I haven't been too enamoured of his wishy-washiness with his lineup, especially this season.

Of course, he is "my" coach, so I'd like to see him do well, but I've seen nothing but mediocre/bad play, which we got under Erickson, and Flores.

Still, Dilfer might be in the playoffs while the Ravens are home "early." Seahawks fanatacism aside, it would be good to see Modell come crashing back down to earth. Baltimore will find out about him one day like Cleveland did.

Hey 210, if Green was your second favorite coach, then who is your favorite? Mohrenweig (sp?) of Detroit perhaps?

There, I feel better now.

nah, he still just has a special thing in his heart for Wade Phillips.

(As a Buffalo fan, it's a lot easier to insult Whale instead of Gregg Williams, even if Whale did do better )

Yeah, that made no sense, I just wanted to get in a shot at Wade Phillips, for whatever reason.

Well, its like this. I am a GB fan. The Vikes are one of our biggest rivals. Green is a bad coach. Therefore, He's my second favorite coach. My THIRD is Morningweig, silly.

That's what I figured, hence my asking if the worst damn coach on earth (except for maybe Denny Green and the not-lamented Wayne Fontes) was your favorite. Since really, with Freeman, Schroeder, Ahman, and Brett, does it matter much who coaches that team, I figured Sherman might not automatically get that #1 spot for you

There, I feel better now.
