Just reported on the radio in Milwaukee, due to inclement weather over the last few days, and not much good forecast over the next week, the Indians-Angels series is being moved to Miller Park.

I'll post a link when I find one.

If anyone's in the area Wednesday night, I'll be in section 115, row 3 (right by the dugout - near the on deck circle). 5 seats for only $50!

Something close to this happened in '94 involving the Mariners when the roof in the Kingdome started falling and they had to play on the road the rest of the way, until the strike hit. If memory serves, I was able to get a pair of tickets to a Red Sox/Mariners game 3rd row, between the home plate dugout and homeplate for 5 bucks each. Now, I'd have to sell my kidney to get a seat near there, let alone a pair.
Cheap tickets to see Vlad and Sizemore is something you can't go wrong with.

The Yanks also played the Angels at Shea, I believe, a few years back when they still had Strawberry...

And four games canceled versus a team that doesn't come back to the Jake all year. Yikes...

I think I'd be lobbying for one of the make-up doubleheaders to be played All-Star Monday if at all possible.

I went to my only 2 Cub games (make-up doubleheader) at Wrigley back when part of Olympic Stadium fell in and the Expos were forced to play on the road. This will be a cool chance for Milwaukee fans to cheer both sides (or boo, I guess). I also think the Marlins played a series at the Cell a couple years ago after a hurricane, but I never remember any series movnig becuase of snow.

The Marlins played 2 games against the Expos at the Cell back in Aug. 2004 due to Hurricane Ivan. I remember friends of mine going to them to root for the Marlins since they were neck-and-neck with the Cubs in the Wild Card race at the time :)

I know the Major League aspect combined with cheap tickets and the novelty might have something to do with it, but seeing such a lively and decent sized crowd show up in Milwaukee for the Indians/Angels game makes me wonder if deep down Milwaukee is still an American League town. The Sons of Harvey's Wallbangers should still be in the A.L. where they belong.

I've edited your post to make it correct. 19,031 attendance - we love anything cheap in Milwaukee.

The irony in all of this is that we could get up to a foot of snow tonight and tomorrow, making it difficult to get to the game. That would suck, but be fitting!

Now now, remember there was that whole "Milwaukee Braves" thing first. Even before becoming commish, Bud thirsted to get into the Senior Circuit (eying those sellouts against the Cubs, no doubt). Plus by playing in the NL, he could save on a Designated Hitter.

It definitely sucks. We had plans to get tickets for today's game, but driving an hour and a half through snowy weather just doesn't seem doable, even for $10 tickets.

Yeah, yeah, but the Brewers are the Natural decendents of the Seattle Pilots, for goodness sake.

I apologize for posting again in this thread, but we just got back from the game. When something like this happens, you just have to share:
