Really? I was thinking the other way around. Benjamin has the smile of a babyface. He just drips with charisma, and he can cut a stellar promo. I can see the crowd just loving him as a face. Hass could use the 'jealousy' angle to turn heel and join Angle.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!
Maybe. I just think Benjamin as better on the mic so I think he can get some heel heat easier and have Haas as the face in peril getting cheered for comebacks ect.
I've been thinking about this (way too much, obviously) and decided to try to predict what will happen over the next few months with the draft, the next few PPV's, and added in a few of the current rumors as well. Apologize in advance for the length of this:
Monday The draft results in the following main changes (I'm just doing the main changes here; I'm sure there would be more) Raw -- John Cena, World's Greatest Tag Team, Tazz, Billy Gunn, The Undertaker, Rikishi, Sable SmackDown -- Triple H, Booker T, Edge, D-Von Dudley, Matt Hardy, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jerry Lawler, Stephanie McMahon
Also... Vince McMahon suspends Bill Goldberg for not showing up to the draft.
In the main event of Raw, Evolution teams up "for the final time" against Chris Benoit, John Cena, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels. HHH taps again in the crossface, causing a frustrated Evolution to turn on him. HBK contemplates helping out his old Clique partner, but before he does so.. he's attacked by Chris Benoit. "What is happening here?" screams JR as the show fades to black.
On SmackDown, Vince McMahon starts the show and re-names Stephanie as the GM (she's now a heel and has forgotten the whole daddy-tried-to-beat-me-up thing). This causes several problems which (of course) is the crux of the entire show, causing: (a) HHH not to show up for his first day or work, speculating that he doesn't want to work for his ex-wife (b) Stone Cold is now the SmackDown Sheriff, causing yet another chapter in the Austin Vs Authority battle (c) The U.S. title is vacated because Cena switched to Raw (d) D-Von asks Stephanie for a trade. He is turned down. (e) Paul Heyman resigns in disgust, not before cutting a promo reminiscent of his anti-McMahon tirade before Survivor Series `02. "You made Brock Lesnar leave, you are splitting up tag teams and families, and now your dumb ***** of a daughter takes my job. Vince McMahon, you can't fire me -- I quit!"
BACKLASH - APRIL
Benoit defeats Michaels... with the help of Evolution, cementing his heel turn
Mick Foley defeats Randy Orton... by countout, when Orton flees the ringside area.
Undertaker soundly beats Kane in a casket match
On the undercard: WGTT defeats the teams of Flair/Batista, La Resistance, Cade/Jindrak, Hurricane/Rosey and RVD/Bubba (the whole `tag team without partners thing') to win the vacant Raw tag team titles; Chris Jericho defeats Christian & Trish in a handicap match; John Cena beats Billy Gunn.
Bubba Ray and Spike give their notice to Bischoff post-Backlash. It's even written up on wwe.com to look realistic.
JUDGMENT DAY - MAY
Eddy Guerrero defeats Big Show in some sort of special stip match. Afterwards, Kurt Angle makes his return from injury and attacks Guerrero.
Edge wins a mini-tournament in his first match back and is named the U.S. champion. HHH was scheduled to be in the tourney, but no shows.
Rey Mysterio defeats Chavo Guerrero to win the Cruiserweight title, setting up for a feud with Matt Hardy.
In a tag team gauntlet match to fill the vacant tag team titles, the reunited Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay returns; did I mention that already? Aw, crap) defeat The Bashams, Kidman/London and A-Train/Rhyno.
Bodyguard Bradshaw (even though he's no longer with Heyman) defeats D-Von in a loser-gets-fired match.
Post-Judgment Day, RVD gets into an argument with Stephanie, upset that he hasn't been booked in any matches. Tajiri and his group are stunned by Austin and leave the building, embarrased.
BADD BLOOD - JUNE
Pre-Badd Blood, Bischoff orders Jonathan Coachman to join the announce team, which angers both JR and Tazz. On the hEaT before the PPV, Lance Storm abandons Val Venis during a prelim match.
Chris Benoit defeats The Undertaker.
Mick Foley beats Randy Orton in a Hell In The Cell match.
Chris Jericho beats the returning Scott Steiner. Soonafter, Steiner, Test, Christian and Trish form a stable.
Michaels and Cena defeat Flair and Batista.
WGTT defeat La Resistance. Afterwards, Bubba Ray, D-Von and Spike Dudley run to the ring and clean house.
Tazz walks out of the announce booth sometime in June.
VENGEANCE (???) - JULY
On wwe.com, early July: "World Wrestling Entertainment has agreed to part ways with Rob Van Dam. We wish him the best of luck in future endeavours."
Eddy Guerrero defeats Kurt Angle in a 60 minute iron man match.
Big Show beats Edge to win the U.S. title.
Too Cool retain their belts against The Bashams, and at the conclusion of the match, The Dudleyz make another surprise ambush.
The PPV closes with a Paul Heyman vignette, cackling like a mad scientist that `The end of WWE is coming at SummerSlam'.
SUMMERSLAM - AUGUST
Co-main events have Chris Benoit losing the title to John Cena (with Bret Hart as special guest referee) and Eddie Guerrero retaining against... oh, hell, I don't know. I've been typing this on and off for an hour; let's just get to the good stuff.
During the Randy Orton-Rock Intercontinental match, ref bump and who returns, but.... Triple H!!! Fans actually start cheering until he attacks The Rock. Then he does the same to Randy Orton. Ric Flair, Batista, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels... all of them try to stop him but can't (just like in real life ).
Why? Because HHH's being helped by The Dudleyz... and RVD... and Tajiri... and Tazz.... and Lance Storm... and Rhyno... throw in Justin Credible, Raven or some other assorted names from the past and you've got the start of Paul Heyman's ECW.
Why HHH? Why the hell not? If there's going to be an ECW brand, might as well have at least one 'big' name to help get it over...
stephanie macmanhon will return for the lottery and become gm of raw or smackdown edge will also return on will be put on raw predictions for backlash
world heavyweight title:chris benoit vs shawn micheals edge vs cena ic title: orton vs foley hell in a cell taker vs kane (kane ask for wrestlemania rematch) rock vs ric flair tag titles: rvd and booker t vs dudley boyz
Bulldog, I think Chavo will end up on Raw and Victoria will end up on SD. I also thing enough cruiserweights will stay on SD and enough women will jump to SD where there will be a need to say bring back the Light Heavyweight title for SD and create a new woman's title for Raw.
I agree that Cena will go to Raw but Orton will have to defend his title this Monday night against a wrestler going to SD (Booker T?). Vince will put some stipulation in that if similar champs are on the same show (ex: US and IC Champs, WWE and World Champs) the one coming from the other show has to forefit his title. If both stay on their show or if both switch, they keep their titles.
This could be the stipulation of the Orton/Booker match: if Orton retains, Cena forefits the US title and a tournament is held on SD for it. If Booker wins, he takes the IC title to SD and Cena keeps the US title and it becomes a "Raw brand" belt. Cena interfere's and costs Orton the IC title. This sets up a feud between Orton/Cena after the Orton/Foley feud is over.
This could set up the titles this way....
RAW: World Title US Title World Tag Team Titles Cruiserweight Title Woman's World Title
This would make sence if Vince wants to bring the WCW brand back. Raw would have a few of the old WCW belts and become the "WCW show".
SmackDown: WWE Title IC Title WWE Tag Team Title Light Heavyweight Title WWE Woman's Title
All the "traditional" WWF/E belts are on SmackDown.
According to 1wrestling.com, the lottery announcement was pretty much a surprise to most of the locker room, and travel schedules are being held back from individual wrestlers pending the results. Many do not know where they will end up. This strikes me as strange, that they wouldn't be telling the workers where they're going to be working, and I can only think of two reasons for this:
1) The lottery angle was a spur of the moment decision to cope with the current talent drain, and final decisions hadn't been made on where people will be reassigned.
Or 2) However unlikely, the lottery will be legit and the results will be random and god knows what'll happen? I seriously doubt this, though.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!

There's no chance they would do this at random. Makes absolutely no sense. Even though we all mock WWE for its lack of long-term planning, they have to have at least a rough idea of where things are going storyline-wise, and that they have to balance it enough to keep known stars on both shows. Hell, one of the reasons I'm sure they decided on this was because SmackDown's two biggest names won't be on the roster for a while (and possibly for good).
Last time they draft, the wrestlers didn't know where they were headed, either. It may not be especially fair to leave people's travel schedules in limbo, but in Vince's mind, it probably eliminates the chance of information being leaked out by disgruntled wrestlers. You'll notice how none of the websites with sources "in the back" knew anything of this draft until the minute it was announced on Monday.

No no no no no. They have enough trouble booking the four singles midcard titles as it is, they don't need to add two more to fuck things up.

I don't think that's necessarily true. SD was overloaded with cruiserweights and Raw was overloaded with the female wrestlers. If enough of them get picked for the other show, then you could create titles for each show for women and Cruisers/light heavyweights. Hey, the booking can't be much worse than it is now.
Originally posted by BOSsportsfan34SD was overloaded with cruiserweights and Raw was overloaded with the female wrestlers. If enough of them get picked for the other show, then you could create titles for each show for women and Cruisers/light heavyweights
Cruisers on Smackdown: Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Nunzio, Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Funaki, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Akio, Paul London
There's also Scotty 2 Hotty, but they don't count him in the division really so I won't either. One can argue they don't count Paul London either.
This is hardly an overload of cruiserweights. Even if you added the Raw guys that would be in it (Hurricane and Spike - that's it) you still have a division that is just pretty good. Not in terms of talent, because there is plenty there, but in terms of size. There's really not that many of them, and the bigger problem is that they don't know how to book the division anyway. The only guys that get significant time on Smackdown are Guerrero and Mysterio, and occasionally Tajiri or Noble sneak in, but they don't really do anything. The rest of the guys live on Velocity. This isn't something you need to divide in half.
Now as far as the women's division goes:
Women wrestlers on Raw: Victoria, Molly Holly, Lita, Trish Stratus, Jazz
There are five of them. Gail Kim is hurt, Ivory and Jacqueline are done. Would you really want to split that division in half?
Scott KStones is right. Also I would guess that while Hurricane and Spike are added to the cruisers on SD, Nidia, who has no role after the breakup, and, eventually, Shaniqua will join the women on Raw.

I didn't know that Ivory and Jaqueline were done. I guess in the womens division there wouldn't be enough but it looks like there are around a dozen cruiserweights on SD. You still could do a Cruiser/Light Heavyweight title for each show. If Scotty and Rikishi get broken up then he could join the cruisers.
Since all Vince really said was that "all superstars, family, etc" were in the draft what if they draft the wrestler but if he has a belt the belt goes with him? I mean most people, OK maybe just me, think the U.S. title should be on RAW and the IC Title on Smackdown with the rest of the "WWE" titles. SO if John Cena gets drafted to RAW he can take the U.S. Title and to get back at RAW the Smackdown brand drafts Orton with the IC Title.
Each brand will still have a World, Tag, and extra title(Cruiser, Women) Title because each brand will start by going after the champs first.
So Draft can Start like this:
1st Pick: RAW Drafts: Benoit (World Title) SD Drafts: Eddie (WWE Champ)
It's not a draft. It's a lottery. With a tumbler, and cool little plastic balls, and red and blue pieces of paper (JR: "Oh, my! Bischoff picked a blue name! Someone from SmackDown is coming to Raw!").

Ahh but the graphic says "Draft Lottery" on the commercials and weekend shows.
Which probably means they couldn't decide. It'll probably be like last time where there's a draft for the Top 10 then the rest are picked "randomly" from the lottery.
The Lottery by Shirley Jackson kicks ass. The best part of high school lit. class - except for a certain well-endowed blonde who sat one row across from me with peek-through-the-armpit-to-sneak-a-peak-blouses.
First pick - Steve Adams.
Although, that Lottery was in held June, not March. should they save the stoning for PPV?

Better to do it now so the person doesn't have time to run far away. They could have gone all ECW-like and let the fans bring in rocks.
Are you a professional halfwit or talented amateur?
Raw:GM Ric Flair, Chairman of Booking Comittee Paul Heyman (with ASSistant Dawn Marie.) Benoit (WHWC) Cena (USC) Chavo (CWC) RVD/BT (WTTC's) Victoria (WC) Rhyno, Angle, Rey, Tajiri, Akio, Sakoda, Moore, Nunzio,London, Haas ,Benjamin, Funaki, Dragon,Noble, Molly, Ivory, Trish, Jericho, Christian, Nidia, Storm, Hurricane,Stevie Richards,Mike Bucci (Nova). As soon as Eddy loses WWEC (any guesses as to wHHHo?), Traded to Raw for Booker T. additional I would like to see as well: Jenny Lane, Erica Porter (Jungle Girl), Beckie the Farmers Daughter, American Dragon, GG Afi (Tony mamaluke), Aaron Aguilera, and Pokerface(gotta have Pokerface,& serioulsly he seemed like a good wrestler.)
Everyone else goes to/stays on Smackdown, Dean curses the day I was born (get in line!)
Who should be looked upon more favorably? Who is more at fault for the TNA ratings being in the toilet? These two will be forever linked. This is going to sound far fetched, but I think you can honestly compare Eric Bischoff to Joe Namath.
