The Senators and Yankees, which ended in a forfeit...
STARTING LINEUPS:
New York Yankees 1. Murcer cf 2. Clarke 2b 3. Torres rf 4. White lf 5. Ellis 1b 6. Munson c 7. Hansen 3b 8. Baker ss 9. Kekich p
Washington Senators 1. Maddox cf 2. Harrah ss 3. Howard 1b 4. Billings c 5. Burroughs lf 6. Nelson 3b 7. Unser rf 8. Ragland 2b 9. Bosman p
Some thoughts: WOW did that Yankee lineup suck. Rusty Torres as #3 batter? Floyd Baker? Ron Hansen was one of about 1,000 post-Boyer 3b. The Yanks would be fooled by Rich McKinney and take a long shot on Mexican star Celerino Sanchez for 1972 before finally trading for Graig Nettles.
As for the Senators...Dick Billings at #4 is a bad joke. That's Elliot Maddox in cf, not Garry. It would have been laughable to think of Jeff Burroughs as a future MVP at this point.
