Tim Tebow, for a 4th-round pick.

What's more delicious than the offensively incompetent Jets signing Sanchez to an extension and THEN adding Jesus McQuarterback*? I don't know but I love it.

(I like Tim Tebow.)

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

I suspect that Jets fans are about to fall in unquestioned love with Mark Sanchez again, now that Tebow's the alternative. [/snark]

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Sanity wins out in Jacksonville. That's nice to see, but it shouldn't have even been a question.

The Jets are going to be so much fun to watch for all the wrong reasons.

The first day the Jets lose because Mark Sanchez (the same Sanchez that just signed a $40M extension) goes 0-12 in the red zone is going to be entertaining, because the "unnamed team sources" are going to start coming out of the woodwork. You're going to hear more and more "Mark Sanchez is coddled" stories and the drums are going to beat for Tebow. Hell, the drum beats may have already started! Get your popcorn ready.

Only the Jets would sign their overrated QB to an outrageous extension after the worst year of his career and then trade into a quarterback controversy LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LATER!

You're in a division with your top rivals having a shrewd head coach who has one of the top QB's ever. Their tight ends are better than most wide receivers. Their Offensive Coordinator is out for blood after a couple of poor seasons, and drafted Tim Tebow (so he obviously has some plays in mind for the guy). Meanwhile, said top QB could help train the kid. Their other young QB could easily be traded for more assets. Removing Tim Tebow from going to such a team is a good idea.

You have a perennial afterthought jump in and land the top defensive free agent this year. Said free agent is 27, a DE/LB hybrid, consistently performs at least at a pro-bowl level, and rains destruction from the heavens. And he's being added to a defensive line that showed promise before injuries last year. You're want a mobile QB to counter this. Who is a mobile QB? Tim Tebow.

You have a young QB who hasn't been tested by others. Why not bring in a guy who wants to play, wants to win, wants to better himself, to push the fellow further?

Low-risk, high reward move by the Jets. I like it.

I think this is a great move by the Jets.

What a dumb and offensive thread so far by the way.

Also read somewhere that Jacksonville might jump back in if the deal with the Jets falls apart, which is a good thing, because the Jags are Tebow's best shot to have the chance at starting that he EARNED last year.

EDIT: Adam Schefter's Twitter confirms Rams are out of the picture and it's down to the Jets and Jaguars.

I like the guy and his heart but finishing up by backing into the playoffs and getting creamed by the Pats doesn't earn him anything. I hope he can succeed but it may not be as a QB.

Now is the time for the Patriots to swoop in and stomp on the Jets hearts. I really liked the thought of Gronk, Hernandez, Lloyd, and Welker all lined up with Brady and Tebow in the backfield.

If you are the Jets and are doing this to block that scenario then you are really panicking and should be addressing needs not making moves to block other people. If you are trying to rattle Mark Sanchez already shaky psyche, well then good job.

I think the Jets might be the worst place in the NFL for the poor guy.

I will never ever root so hard for Mark Sanchez to be successful as I will this coming year. Tebowmania was bad enough coming out of Denver, I can only imagine how much more ridiculous it'll be coming out of New York.

I also have a funny feeling my remote is going to have a hard time finding ESPN for a long while.

Do you? To me, and even as a joke, they are essentially equating Tim Tebow to terrorists that killed thousands of people in New York.

Tebow will be the starting quarterback by game ten of this upcoming season for the Jets. I'm just glad he didn't become a Patriot.
