But that's as far as they'll go, because I don't think anybody passes Boston with a healthy Schilling and Josh Beckett on their staff. Then again, the balance of power in the AL East hinges on who Boston gets for Manny Ramirez.
But really, AJ Burnett is worth THAT much? They could have paid him AJ Burnett money and chased after one of the lowlier free agents on the market (or even traded for Juan Pierre). I'm just a little stunned at the moment.
