I had a ruptured disc in my back in 2001. It's the absolute second worse pain I have ever dealt with. I wouldn't wish it on anybody. Having the pain WITH accompanying numbness is somehow worse than just the pain.
Seeing as how both my parents have had issues with disintegrating bones in their back (and most likely I'm going to get it due to heredity), I second what StaggerLee said - I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I don't find it offensive or anything, (I wouldn't even figured it was tourette's if I didn't read a net report saying that was the plan) but I do agree it's something that can get really old really fast.
