Well ladies, as you know, we didn't get our dose of The Game until Sunday Night Heat last night. But, that's okay, because we saw a really tight match with Maven. The promos leading to that match were good, especially this one from the cocky champion to Maven...
"Maven. Easy, kid, easy, calm down. I'm not here to fight you, we've got plenty of time to do that. I'm here, because I like you. I think you got it all, kid. You got talent, you got a hell of a body, you got a hell of a look, you got a hell of a future in this business. And that's what I'm here for, I'm here to help you out, I'm gonna give you a little piece of advice. See, I've seen all the stuff you've done, and hell, you've been successful as can be up to now. Don't tell anyone, but there's even a little bit of me that admires you, in some small way. But my advice for you tonight is - savor the moment. What I mean by that is you're going to have an opportunity tonight like no other. So you're going to walk to the ring, your heart pounding in your chest, sweating, butterflies in your stomach, and you're gonna get in that ring and you're gonna look across it and it's gonna dawn on you 'oh my god, I'm in the ring with the Game. I'm in the ring with the best that there is, Triple H! I've made it - I've made it all the way to the top'. And my advice to you is gonna be, take a mental snapshot of that, right in that moment when you realize you're in the ring with the best there is, the World's Champion, take a snap shot and remember it forever, because just as you're realizing it [snap] I'm gonna put your lights out. It's gonna be as simple as that. So, take that picture, kid. Keep it. And just remember, ain't no shame getting beat by the Game."
Aww yeah, good heelish stuff. Anyway ladies, if you had the chance to see it, share your opinions on the match, or the men, whatever caught your fancy first. I don't know about you, but how is it that HHH wrestles Heat in recent times (twice in 2000) a tad more often than most of the other main eventers? Theories are also welcome...
He does make a good heel, doesn't he? This is what he's all about, the mind games, getting into their heads. Sah-weet! Match was good, I think they made each other look great. The other matches were good, too. I think, if I'm home, I might watch Heat more often.
As for Trips wrestling on Heat, who knows. Maybe him and Steph were getting a little quality time together and he had to leave early. Maybe he just wants to show those that pick on him that he's really not a bad guy, or that he can suck it up and play with the midcarders. Or maybe he wants to show everyone that he is that damn good and that Heat ratings will skyrocket due to him being on. I dunno.
Maybe he left early to do a photo shoot for some sleazy chick magazine???
let's see if my laptop wants to work *this* time... Like Stephanie, for me, watching wrestling was a way to fit into my family's conversations. My whole family, but particularly my cousins and brother, were fanatics as far back as I can remember.
