Sure, there were a lot of similarities but they made them work, and by acknowledging them it got funnier to me. Oh, I did not see the end coming (the wedding party bit) Alan's room had several old school WWF posters in it. There was Macho Man, Hillbilly Jim and a 3rd one I don't recall right now.
