Frickin' FedEx. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get the new SmackDown! game because I had to pick up my car from the body shop. Oh, well. Anyway, it's time for The Great Thomas SmackDown Report!

Mysterio vs. Cena: Thugonomics. Cena rags on Mysterio... and gets a "CENA" chant! Wow. Cena wins via F-U. Afterwards, Paul Heyman and Team Lesnar appear. Heyman applauds Cena, and offers him the position of 5th member of Team Lesnar. However, Cena refuses, since no one tells John Cena what to do! A-Train attacks Cena from behind, then Jones and Morgan nail him with the DOUBLE BIG BOOT! Here comes Big Show... AAAAATHECHOKESLAAAAAM! Now Lesnar finishes Cena off with a wicked chairshot! A-Train heads to the back, while Team Lesnar celebrates over Cena's body.

WrestleMania Recall: Bret Hart beats Yokozuna for the World Title.

A-Train: He's approached by Heyman and Team Lesnar. He's offered the 5th spot for Team Lesnar... and he accepts!

Guerrero the Elder: Chavo tells Eddie that he's been banned from ringside during his match. He tells Eddie that he's gotta win this... for CHAVO!

Big Show vs. Bradshaw: Cole says that Faarooq's status for Survivor Series is unknown. Big Show bumps like a maniac! Big Show wins via AAAAATHECHOKESLAAAAAM!

Paul et Torrie: Paul tells Torrie she WILL please him... in 3 minutes... with a smile on her face. ...Shit.

Angle et Benoit: Faarooq's out of Survivor Series. Torrie comes in (WITHOUT a smile on her face) and tells the two that they'll be facing Lesnar, A-Train, Jones and Morgan in the main event! Then she leaves. Hopefully for the rest of the show.

Undertaker: He says the significance of the Buried Alive Match is person. He plans to avenge all the people Vince McMahon has screwed in the past.

The Cat On The Prowl: The Cat's getting ready for a night on the town. So Ernest Miller is SmackDown's answer to Theodore Long? Somebody call my momma!

Guerrero the Elder vs. Basham Bros.: Hey, the Bashams got some non-sucky entrance music, and a cool Titantron video! Good for them! The Bashams dominate Eddie with some help from Shaniqua. Eeeewww, I just saw an extreme closeup of Danny Basham's face! THREE VERTICAL SUPLEXES by Eddie! BASHAM SWITCH! But it fails, and Eddie wins via rollup! Chavo and Eddie celebrate, and drive off into the sunset.

Terminator 3 DVD: With commentary by the governor of California.

The Heat Is Back: ...and losing games!

During the Break: Eddie and Chavo drive off to celebrate with Tio Quicho! ...Whoever that is.

Vince McMahon: He's out to tell everyone not to be afraid of his actions. Under a spotlight, he asks for the crowd's forgiveness. He does an invocation, and prays for soul-cleansing. He will bury the Undertaker, because Vince has been chosen by the Almighty Ones to vanquish his foe! Hot damn. Lemme just say this right now...

It's things like this that are the REASON that I am such a HUGE Vince McMahon fan.

Bob Holly: "The last thing you wanna do is underestimate Bob Holly."

Tajiri/Nunzio vs. Ultimo Dragon/Noble: Cruiserweight moves galore! ...and the crowd is dead. ARRIVADERCI by Nunzio! ASAI MOONSAULT by Ultimo Dragon! Noble wins via cradle.

The Main Event: Team Lesnar (sans Big Show) comes down to the ring... let's go to commercial break!

Lesnar/Jones/Morgan/A-Train vs. Angle/Benoit: Brock does Guest Commentary?! Huh. He's going to comment on his teammates. Matt Morgan debuts by squashing Angle and Benoit. DOUBLE UNDERHOOK SUPLEX by A-Train to Benoit! Let's go to commercial break!

Heat vs. Timberwolves: PFFFFT.

The Main Event (cont.) Brock leaves the commentary table to beat on Benoit. He's now in the ring! BEARHUG by Morgan! GERMAN SUPLEX by Benoit! TAG! Angle is a HOUSE AFIRE! Team Angle wins via DQ after Big Show interference. Everyone gets squashed by Show... but John Cena makes the save... but to no avail. Team Lesnar celebrates... and, we're out.

That's all for this week. Until then, Good Night, take care of yourselves, and they should drop my HCTP tomorrow. Wish me luck.

KILL BILLy Hatcher and the Giant Egg.

I wear my sunglasses at night/So I can so I can see...

It's my life, my time, my rights, my rhyme. It's time for Sssssmackdown!, from Buffalo, NY...and a Fashion Report, too!

Rey, in red/silver mask and "Rey" sipderwebbed pants, cut-up tshirt around the waist, vs. Cena, in white Bears jersey (#50 - Butkus), jeans shorts and gold lock 'n chain. Hebner, in the blue shirt, referees. Ha - nice rap. FU to a pin. An average match. Post-match, CHeyman, in brown sportscoat, red turtleneck, black slacks and press-pass, with "Team Lesnar" is out - Lesnar in black warmups, WWE Title over the shoulder, Matt Morgan in silver fullcuts, Nathan Jones in red fullcuts, and BigShow in one-strap black singlet, US Title over the shoulder. Paul names Cena to "Team Lesnar". Cena doesn't accept, so ATrain comes in to sneak attack him; "Team Lesnar" with the beatdown.

In the back, ATrain in confronted by "Team Lesnar". Paul offers #5, and ATrain accepts. Yeah - it's "Team Anti-Smark"!

Tazz, in black suit, blue shirt (white collar), purple tie and orange hanky, and Cole, in brown sportscoat with grey turtleneck, commentate. And show FOOTAGE! of Eddie losing. Must - rehabilitate - Eddie.

In the back, Chavo is all heelish in manipulating Eddie, as he prepares for his match.

BigShow, in same as before, vs. Bradshaw, in black "APA" tights with cards. Mike Sparks officiates. Bradshaw's hair is losing its blonde-ness. This is a "slobberknocker"; the forearms - they do club. Chokeslam to a pin. Not quite an average match, but better than a poor match.

In the back, Paul is harrassing Torrie, in black beret over pigtails.

In his lockerroom, Angle is on the phone when Benoit comes in to conference. But Torrie nips that in the bud when she comes in and announces the Main Event is Angle/Benoit vs. Matt Morgan, Nathan Jones, Brock, and ATrain. Oh, and Farooq is out of Survivor Series.

FOOTAGE! of Taker talking about his dislike of Vince. To summarize - Vince respects nobody, and he's EVIL!

The Cat, with "Lamont", dresses-up. He likes the ladies.

A turquoise convertable, driven by Eddie, in grey "Latino" tights with black/gold flames and black "Cheat 2 Win" tshirt, vs. Bashams, both in black leather pants carrying the Tag Team Titles, with Shaniqua, in red bra and hotpants. Nick Patrick, in blue, has the power of the referee. Ha - Doug knew what was coming and bailed-out of that double headlock/headscissors thing. Shaniqua, you do look better with your hair up like that. Yeah! Whip Nick Patrick! But he no likey. Rollup for the pin. A nice match. Chavo is out to celebrate. I STILL can't tell the Bashams apart. Maybe if they'd talk more and call each other by their names. 'Cuz I think Cole and Tazz are getting messed-up, too. Eddie always checks his blind spot.

Hey, Brock is the smallest man on his team (if the graphic is to scale).

In the back, Eddie and Chavo drive. Guys - put some shirts on.

Vince, in black suit and white shirt (top 2 buttons undone), is out. That's my signal to flip over to MXC. Ooo - college chicks! But Adbreak says it's time to go back to SD! in time to see Vince proclaim he's "chosen". Vince, I choose you! Now get in the damn Poke-ball.

People talk about Hardcore Holly.

Tajiri, in black pants with dragons and flaming left hem, with his Yakuza (one of them carrying the Cruiserweight Title), and Nunzio, in black undies with Italian-flag-butt, vs. Ultimo, in bronze/silver tights, mask, cape and pauldrons, with white spines, and red cape, and Noble, in jean shorts. I SO like Ultimo's outfit; I would just like to lounge around the house in that. Jim Korderas is the referee. Mmm - I would like to spew in Nidia's face (eww). Some kind of reversal to a pin for Noble. A nice match, but the flat crowd was painful.

Run-down the SD! half of the Survivor Series' card.

Brock, in black butt-skull undies, now wearing the WWE Title, Nathan Jones, in same as before, Matt Morgan, in same as before, and ATrain, in black crested undies, vs. Adbreak, vs. Angle, in red singlet with blue stars and gold medals, and Benoit, in red wolverine-headed "Wolverine" tights. Hebner officiates. Hey, we've got Bushwacker cosplayers (backs to the camera, front row, camera left). Brock decides to do commentary instead of wrestle. Nathan Jones looks like he did months ago, Matt Morgan likes to headbutt and drop guys, and Adbreak interferes. When we're back, Brock decides to join the match. When you think the faces have it won, BigShow interferes, leading to the DQ. A nice match. Bradshaw comes out, but is beaten down. Cena, with steel chair, is out, but he, too, is beaten down. "Team Lesnar" poses. End.

Overall: A nice show. I didn't watch enough of the Vince crap to have it leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Random Smackdown! Thoughts:

Good opening contest. Got things off on the right foot....A-Train? Ugh. Morgan, Show, Jones, A-Train, is this someone's idea of a cruel joke?....I prefer "The Jolly Green Giants" as the name for Lesnar's team....Big Show v.s Bradshaw was about what you'd expect from these two....Paul made it sound like he was really going to do something to Torrie. Instead, she had to inform Benoit/Angle of a match? I don't get it....

Can't wait for the return of The Cat. No, I wasn't being sarcastic....I really enjoyed Eddie v.s The Bashams, especially how Eddy won....Good cruiserweight tag match, too. Except seeing them wrestle "WWE Main Even Style" makes me sad....The Main Event was fine. Not that anything done resolved my fears of Benoit/Angle getting injured at SS.....Good show.

Seriously, that Basham backdrop suplex into a gourdbuster should be a finisher.

The cruiserweight tag match was our night's best bout, but Tajiri's Kaientai '03 really needs to be defined better. Who are they (storywise) and when will see the inevitable tag against Noble, Rey and Ultimo?

My favorite moment of the night: Dragon reaching for the tag, Tajiri grabs his arm and makes him WAVE at Noble, with a goofy look on his face. Priceless.

My least favorite moment of the night: see the thread with the word Holly in the title :(

When I was watching the main event, I realized that Brock Lesnar is the SMALLEST member of his team! How scary is that?

Are you ready for Mahkan-mania to run wild all over you?

I think A-Train's a wee bit shorter, and Jones might weigh less. But overall, it is scary to think that Brock is the smallest man on his team.

BTW, what's wrong with big guys? As long as nobody gets hurt, what's wrong with having a deliberate, power-based style like Nathan Jones or Scott Steiner? Variety is the spice of life. If WWE could play up the style differences (which they did with Mysterio vs. Cena), they'd have something new to go on. Team Angle has a mesh of styles (two submission/technical, one power/technical [Holly], two power) while Team Lesnar is all about one thing: sheer power, with some technicality from Brock.

Again, if nobody gets hurt, why all the hate for power? Not everyone can execute a flawless northern lights suplex into bridge variant while holding a textbook top wristlock, you know.

I agree with Gugs, I don't have a problem with the big guys. I don't know the whole history or the Suvivor Series but I can't remember there being a team of all big men against much smaller guys. It's an interesting match, like the David vs Goliath scenario only five on five instead of one on one. Plus Lesnar really is better than your typical big man and Big Show has been doing really well in my opinion. A-Train can bust out a good power move every once in a while. Who knows about Nathan Jones and Matt Morgan, but I expect they don't last long anyway. And you've got Angle and Benoit on the other side, that always helps. I just hope they don't do something crazy like make Holly last long in his return.

What was that thing on Noble's arm tonight? I imagine it's to protect an elbow that was the real reasoning behind his absence, but it doesn't look like anything I've ever seen before, except a really big elbow pad.

-Cena vs. Mysterio- Vicious rap on Mysterio, which actually got the crowd behind Cena (eww). Cena then taunts Mysterio by getting on his knees and saying he'll fight from there. A good 6-minute match, with Cena doing his ground game and Rey taking it to the air. Rey goes for the west coast pop but gets popped down south... Heyman and his Green Giants came out and made an offer to Cena to be the fifth member. Cena says he doesn't fit into Team Sasquatch. Was he going to add that he can actually wrestle before Albert attacked him from behind all 5 Huge Dudes took Cena out.

-BigShow vs. Bradshaw- If you liked clothesline and boots, followed by tumbling. BigShow tumbling over the top rope is somewhat impressive. But that is it in this 4-minute snoozer.

-Eddie vs. Basham Brothers- I never ever like handicap matches when the underdog wins, even when it is one of my favorite wrestlers. But saying that Eddie worked amazing this week. Running up the ropes and hitting a double headscissors and another time Eddie went up a Basham ducked and Eddie changed position and hit a hurricarna. Good stuff. At the end it looked like Eddie wanted to put his feet on the ropes but wasn't near enough, so partial cheating to win.

-Vince interview- No Sable which gives this Vince interview more interesting. But interview lost me when Vince said he asked for forgiveness for not what he did but for what he's going to do... Good line if we weren't hearing it for 2 weeks for the Vince's kid vs. Kane match in the Survivor Series 30 second promo of theirs.

-Noble/Dragon vs. Tajiri/Nunzio- Tajiri is so good these days. His yelping when he came and attacked was cool. His body language is awesome. He has more personality without saying a word then 85% of these guys can do with a 10-minute speech... A good match, especially on the Tajiri and Dragon side, Nunzio looked okay in there was well. Noble didn't really stand out (are Noble-Nunzio still related LoL). The flat crowd hurt the match, especially when they pushed Noble cleaning hot tag/cleaning house.

-Angle/Benoit vs. Lesner/Train/Jones/Morgon- First can't the Green Giants come out together, I guess the awesome Matt Morgon theme must be heard. This was BORRRING. They did something that was almost impossible for me but made a 2 segment match with Angle and Benoit on one side boring. Lesner cradle suplex was the only real memorable move by the heels side... So this match plus add BigShow for the heels and Cena, Bob Holly and Bradshaw for the face side and that's our Survivor Series match. Don't see those add ons on this match making a match any better. Lesner was asked to talk about The Green Giants. He answered "What's there need to know, their big guys". THAT'S the problem, that isn't good enough

-OtherStuff- Benoit & Angle don't seem so surprised having a woman (Torrie) just walking into their lockerroom... Someone who doesn't watch wrestling was watching wrestling with me and seeing Chavo backstage interview the person came right out and said "He's turning on him for certain" LoL... Undertaker talking about Vince and they are still using Bret to sell their storylines... Many wrestlers talk about how Bob Holly is a legit tough guy, I'm sure this will work just as well when they push Meng as a legit tough guy.

-Line of the Night: Cena "I don't fit into Team Sasquatch"
-3Stars of the Night: 1)Eddie. 2)Dragon. 3)Tajiri.

A better show then what we were getting for the past couple of months. Opening match was great and a nice push for Cena (even if it is at the expense of Mysterio). A good Tajiri/Nunzio v. Noble/Dragon even when the crowd wasn't really into it. Eddie/Bashams was strong. Vince's interview is okay (if you ignore the repeating of the Shane/Kane promotional spot). Show/Bradshaw was what expected. But main event was 14-minute borefest. 2 handicap matches is a bit much for one show... The problem with SD there as so few interesting characters on the show. I don't give a damn about the heel side on the SD SurSeries side. Just because they are big? One little thing, Did anyone notice the heel/face sides were on differnt sides during tag matches. Usually the faces are facing the camera but tonight it had the heels facing the TV.

hmm, wasn't being whipped into the railing banned? guess bradshaw and/or show are gonna have to pay up, or is it a non-HOSS rule?

big guys vs. small--the IDEA isn't bad, the personnel is. I'm not asking for Giant Baba and early 90's Vader, I'd settle for Scott Norton right about now.

Has Brock gotten some new ink on is back? Looks like he got some art right above both shoulder blades on his back ... maybe it's been there awhile, but I'm just now noticing.

Decent show I thought ... really liked the cruiserweight tag match ... I'll agree that they need to identify Tajiri's crew.

Did Nathan Jones look even bigger than last week?

NHS..the heels were probably on the other side simply because else they would block half of the ring for the camera

Mayhem, Lesnar does have new tattoos on his back, noticed a few weeks ago..don't recall right now what they are though.

I wonder what is going to come out of this 5vs5 match..
I half expect Big Show vs Cena for the US title and I hope Brock vs Benoit for the WWE title.
Then in the Raw ppv week they do the Brock vs Holly match to stall a bit time..

This all sounds like an interesting Smackdown. All that stuff Vince said sure does sound like they have something in store for the Taker..I never expect him to really be all supernatural again with the urn, but at least a return to the old music and semi-old look just to freak Vince out should be possible..

*sigh* Why bother?

I have no problem with big men, but big men who can actually judge the flow of a match.

Even with cutting, it looked like Jones would just stand there after a move, waiting for Angle to get up and come at him. He looked completely clueless out there.

Morgan did a few green things to, two bear hugs, from two different people? Come on. He seems to be very similar to Brock, which isn't too surprising since they both learned their stuff in OVW.

I think it's just sad though that I actually wanted A-Train in the ring when Nathan was in, Nathan just looked completely lost. Not a good sign. Where has he been since WM? Why didn't they send him down to OVW?

Actually, that was a finisher that Doug used in OVW; I think he called it the "GrillBuster."
Months back, Da Meltz said there would be no way you'd ever see it regularly in the WWE, since it's basically a more impressive version of the Pedigree. So, we'll see if it sticks.

I really have no problem with the Cat coming back to wrestle, but that promo just seemed to drag for way too long with no point to it.

It was like the writers couldn't figure out a ending for it, but just went ahead and shot it anyway and hoped the Cat would be able to come up with a ending on his own.

It was like he was standing in the mirror forever and trying to figure out what to do next.

I too don't have a problem with big guys, some of my all-time favorites are such. It seems I happen to like all the big guys that the internet hates. I just can't cut any slack to the current crop of big guys who the 'net's been trying to ease up on. See, plodding punch, boot, slam matches bore the hell out of me, however, I can still appreciate a performer of this style if they have something positive to back it up with. Like a PERSONALITY. Some kind of character could even make the matches look better. These randon generic big guys have proven shit to me. Wrestlemania 12 Diesel vs Undertaker is an example of a big man match that's an all-around favorite of mine, so, yeah.

I just can't care for wrestler if they don't possess a reason for me to care about them, be it ringwork or personality, both would be great of course.

Smackdown is just getting sad. Slowly its seems Raw will be taking Smackdown's previous role. Might as well move the cruiserweights over there too.

I feel the same. Brock is fine, Vader was fantastic in the 90s, Undertaker had his moments. Kane has his good moments. HHH circa 2001 was the Best Wrestler in the WWE IMO. Big guys can be entertaining for me.

I see Batista do a sitdown powerbomb on Goldberg and a few days later i see Matt Morgan hit the same exact sitdown powerbomb move. It's like come on, why are all these guys such generic cookie cutters from look, to music, to moves to signature impact moves. Plus in the ring they are just not that impressive... Add that they have no character behind them and when asked Brock any inside info on them they only reply is "Look at them. Their so big" Might be enough for Vince and company, just not enough for me.

Jeepers Mark Henry is more interesting then majority of these big new guys. Well atleast he's got some kickin entrance music. Be'lee Dat.
