I watched the finale of Scrubs and I can honestly say that this is one of the most well written, directed and acted shows I have ever seen. I have been wacthing since the beginning and it gets better and better. Easily the best comedy on the air right now (yes, it is better than Raymond)and is now firmly entrenched in my top 5 comedies of all time. I remain hopeful that NBC does the right thing and does not cancel this show. A great show, a great season, and a great "cliffhanger" of a finale.

I think you're an asshole. No, no, let me correct that, an immature asshole. Which is fine, except that you're marrying my daughter and I'm afraid that my grandchildren are gonna be little assholes.

I also love this show.

I haven't gone out of my way to watch a show regularly in a long time, but I find myself doing it for Scrubs.

I love the surreal moments and JD's internal dialogue (no other show has ever done it so well and certainly not so consistently). Dr. Cox's tirades are some of the most incisive writing ever. The quirkiness of the characters and their relationships are all genuine despite the overall wackiness. Sight gags and potty jokes coexist with more sophisticated humor.

There are so many things to love about this show. I didn't think they'd be able to keep it up for any length of time, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I really hope it's back next year.

NBC announced at least two more years of Scrubs about a year ago, and it's already been listed on the tv sites as coming back next year.

I must have missed that. I was reading a column in the NY Post (or the Daily News) and the writter mentioned there was a chance that Scrubs would not be back next year. I guess he missed the story too!

Thanks for the good news.

I don't think it's gotten better and better. It's still good, and the run with Heather Graham at the beginning of the year was perhaps their toppest notch, but in the last couple seasons it's gotten overly broad, overly goofy, and overly hammy, IMOHO.

I certainly wouldn't belie the show any praise (except for ... right now), because it's very good, but the season 1 DVD should exacerbate what I'm talking about: I much preferred when they kept the WACKY in J.D.'s head instead of having it pervade through the entire hospital.

Plus, they've really turned the Emo Amplifier to 11 towards the end of this season which really puts a damper on the comedy portions, as funny as they may be, and it might be some grand-design series subtext of Real Life creeping up on all of them more and more. It had always kinda been there with the mop-up part of the voiceover, but the show has seemed more that every little thing that happens carries a bigger consequence, which was not the case when the series started. In hindsight, "My Life In Four Cameras" might have been making that exact point.

FUN FACT: One thing you'll notice in the first x-number of episodes of Season One is that Janitor interacts with no one but JD, because the creators were still tinkering with an idea that Janitor was to only exist in JD's head. Only when they killed the idea somewhere in the middle of S1 does Janitor interact with anyone else.

Oh! You just blew my mind. (I should also add that MLIFC was one of the best, most clever episodes of a sitcom I've seen.)

I love Scrubs, but will be seriously bummed if Sarah Chalke is really gone. She is one of my top five reasons for watching.

I greatly enjoyed the last episode of the season. I've been watching Scrubs from the very first episode and still think it's amazing. Granted, it's not as cutting-edge as it was when it hit...but seriously, what show maintains a high degree of quality for four seasons with no occasional dips?

She's not gone. She's just at another hospital next season. I think they're building a whole new hospital set for her.

I can't decide if it would be a really good or a really bad idea to cast Lecy Goranson as Elliott's eventual replacement at the hospital.
