Just a small point. It is a common misconception that the whole 'Mae Young giving birth to a hand' stuff is the work on Vince Russo. That happened in early February 2000, around the time Benoit and co. turned up. Since he had left for WCW about 4 months earlier, Vinny is in the clear.

Didn't Foley say the stuff Russo had written for the future was so awful they just threw it out? It would seem weird that one of the few things they kept was "Old Woman Gives Birth to Sex Toy".

Well said. I can't help but remember that story a few months back about WWE hiring a guy specifically to keep track of continuity and believability within storylines, and then firing him a month later after he complained too much.
