Not sure if that is what CRZ linked earlier - this link worked for me and Chris' didn't.

(Thank you, thank you... don't forget to tip your waiters!)

See cuz he's a plumber. Get it?
That's the comedy there.

I so want to delete your post, but more than that, I want people to see how stupid it was. Were you really worried that people DIDN'T get it? Did you find the whole parenthetical "comedian" line too hip a reference for the room, or something else?

To defend General Zod - he was taking a dig at me, because we've been close friends for almost two decades. Sometimes, he just can't resist, because he knows that, if I took the time to post a joke here, there's a good chance that I've barraged everyone around me - co-workers, friends, girlfriend, Facebook friends, baristas, UPS delivery guys - with it about once an hour for the last two days.

In other words, I probably deserve it.

Wow. I guess the sarcasm didn't come through. It was just a little joke.

I have no pool, no boat, no bike, cheaper cars, plus my wife works. I don't know his level of savings or debt, but he's certainly doing incredibly well on the surface. In fact, in terms of possessions, he does better than my wife and me, and both of us have graduate degrees!

Your neighbor sounds a lot like Tony Soprano.

I know some people working for the government in various blue collar jobs, who, if they took all their overtime and worked holidays, could very likely make around eighty or ninety thousand, but I don't know what kind of gigs a plumber needs to doing to pay for all that stuff you just mentioned. That being said, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility. He'd just have to ridiculously good with money.

Nope, he'd just have to be a reasonably good plumber doing a mix of residential and light industrial. If you throw in a few maintenance contracts, an annual 6 figure income isn't difficult to achieve. A friend of ours is a master plumber and Corajudo described him and his situation pretty well except that our friend's wife drives a new fully loaded Explorer and their kids go to a private school.

Tim nailed it. He also gets a lot of new construction contracts. And, I should probably also mention that his normal day is to leave around 3 or 4 in the morning and return no earlier than 6 or 7 at night. Plus, he sometimes handles middle of the night emergencies. Sunday is his (relatively) easy day. But, when I got my paper at 7 this morning, his van was gone.

Still, I should point out that those kinds of hours are pretty standard for people who own small businesses. Bottom line is that if you aren't working, you're not getting paid.

Pataki would be a damn train wreck. As for Jeb, he's a lot more smooth than George and, if George Bush were to win again and have a solid second term, would be a very viable candidate.
