Oh, Robbie V got jobbed out. To HHH even. Boo Fuckin' Hoo. I like the guy, but even I would have jobbed him out there. Your top heel like him or not is HHH. If RAW gets another big name heel, I'll let you know. No, not Chris Jericho.

Except that RVD is the top face on Raw. What's the point in making your top face look like a jobber week after week after week after week? And when he's not looking like a jobber, he's curtain-jerking in tag matches.

Great, HHH is the top heel. But he's got NO CHALLENGERS! What's the point in destroying all challengers to the top heel???

Victoria was acting like a bully, and what was needed is someone like Jacqueline who made a career out of taking care of bullies. I would hazard to guess that Jacqueline will function as an enforcer in case any of the other divas get too out of line

That decision made no sense. That would be like jobbing Brock to Bob Holly in the middle of Brock's push just to get a hometown pop for Holly. POINTLESS.

In the immortal words of The Comic Book Store Guy: "Worst Episode Ever".
LEt's take a look:

1. Dudleys and 3 Minute Warning: The best part of this match was missed to show a commercial and a shot of HHH and Flair. The whole Jericho Christian run in and beat down on the Dudleys is missed. Instead, we get to see the aftermath.
2. Chief Morley? Where the hell was he during the run in on the Dudleys? Could this angle get any worse than it already has? Dreadfully, I think the answer is yes.
3. Trish and Ivory. I am a Ivory fan and Trish does not bug me too much so if I have to sit through a Women's match, this one will do.
4. Jackie hitting Victoria. Good segment to make Victoria seem crazier.
5. Dreamer/Hardy v. Storm/Regal: I love the Regal/Storm tag team, but this match had filler written all over it. I wish jeff Hardy would pack up and leave. You can just see how much apathy he has for the business. Meanwhile, in a case of irony, they team him with the one guy who loves this business more than anyone(Dreamer). My hope: Regal and Storm feud, Storm beats him silly, and the bring back the Impact Players (Storm and Credible). A pipe dream, but a dream nonetheless.
6. Batista v. Hurricane: I guess I am in the minoriy of the people who think Batista will never make it big. I don;t like the way he moves around the ring and he seems out of place for simple shots
7. Kane v. Batista: Point in case, Kane comes off the ropes for his running close line and Batista is too close to him so that Kane almost jumps over him. It's the little things that can make the difference between a star (see Bradshaw) and a super star (see Booker T).
8. jericho v. Booker T: They are doing a decent job of slow building this feud. Wished it would have went longer, but Chief Morley (see it did get worse) restarts it as a tag match.
9. jericho/christian v. Booker T/Goldie: Good match but why have Booker take the pin? They are really missing the boat on Booker T. He should be fighting for the Heavyweight strap. If I'm Booker, I am begging for a trade to Smackdown.
10. Victoria v. Jackie: This was nuts. They are building up Victoria as a monster then they have her lay down for Jackie? So Jackie got a cheap shot in on her in the locker room and a pinfall in the ring? Stupidity.
11. Steiner. Who cares? Biy did they screw this up big time. They should have done something like have him wretle each week and whoevers wrestler pins him he will sign with. He could squash the likes of Hurricane, Hardy, Spike, Chavo etc,. ehile working into shape and move up to the Kanes, Angles, Edges and such to strike a feud.
12. HVD v. HHH: This match just shows how bad RAW and the WWE is right now. Where is the rub for RVD? Why does HHH have to go over everyone? I would have been happy with a double DQ setting up a rematch next week or seeing that both won/lost, having the ME at the PPV be HHH/RVD/HBK. But no, God forbid HHH does the right thing. I hate him so much it takes every fiber of my being not to turn the TV when he comes on.

RAW is killing the WWE. Thank God for Smackdown.

Some thoughts on the show:
Is Batista supposed to be a heel because he grew up in foster homes?
The only way the Victoria/Jackie match would have made sense is if Jazz came down to do a beatdown on Victoria and Stevie.
If your going to line up hookers, wouldn't it make sense to have Godfather there? I mean, if he is still around, that is his gimmick.
As for the main event, this is the point we have reached. Vince is in one of his 'I'm Vincent K. McMahon damn it, and if I say Trip is going to be on your TV set in just about every segment, then your going to like it' modes. Someone is going to have to develop a 10 year wrestling flow chart some day to demonstrate what happens when members of the Clique have influence in the company, and what happens when they don't have influence.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Maybe it's just me...but are they trying to combine old school kayfabe/with new age IWC smarkiness?

We all complain about what they should and shouldn't do, so-and-so should be face, so-and-so should "do the right thing" etc...

Well...every HHH promo I see now, seems like they're playing directly off all of the IWC criticism...almost as if they're trying to make us hate him even more intensely. Just like the "old school" heels of yore...they'd get away with everything, and never get caught or get their come uppance.

And when it finally happened...there was much rejoicing. Huzzah!

That being said...if it's what they're trying to do, they're taking too long, going about it wrong, and with the wrong players.

HHH as the heel is the proper way to go...admit it...everyone loathes him now. Who do we most want to see taking a beating? HHH.

Shawn as the face doesn't seem to be the way to go though. Admittedly, the "hot-shot" of the title to him was a decent surprise, and maybe even a fitting nod to a "legend" ala Hogan. But to keep it on him this long, and "maybe" having him drop it back to Trips....no one cares...it's predictable. I keep hoping that they'll surprise me.

The only good thing about HHH possibly getting the belt back is that perhaps, maybe, finally we'll get our "heel beating" by a proper face.

And there will be much rejoicing...Huzzah!

I guess I'm a real weirdo because I my views don't line up with ANYBODY else's today.

I didn't really like the show itselt...I was kinda bored, not terrible but not great either.

I did, however, think the booking was pretty damn good through and through.

Hopefully, they will do this after Y2J/Christian vs. Dudleys at the PPV. Maybe a #1 contender tag team gauntlet match with the other teams could be on the show as someone suggested w/ BookDust coming out on top? A good violent match at Royal Rumble w/ Bookdust finally coming out as champs would get my money for that show.

Booker is INCREDIBLY over right now and WWE needs to strike while the iron is still hot. He is more over than RVD and is one or two major victories away from being a permanent main event fixture. If you want to see just how over this man is, watch RVD/Booker/Y2J where RVD gets booed for the first time in his WWE tenure for daring to hit the Book. Watch Goldust on his own or with anyone else and then with Booker. Alone GD is just another midcarder to the marks, with Booker he is the 4th or 5th most over face on the show.

I was wondering after the Dave v. Hurricane match if Helms got hurt and they had to end it quicker. But With the run-in I doubt it.

Speaking of getting hurt, the ref was legit. concerned about Rosie after he got double suplexed onto his neck.

The Book and RVD are going to stay exactly where they are. WWE has no interest in pushing them or elevating them. Look, you have Booker who is OVER, RVD that was OVER but starting to lose a little steam now, and they give the belt to HBK. Not even a cup of coffee with the strap for RVD and the Book. Very disappointing, but that is the way it is right now.

The WWE needs that Intercontinental title badly right now. If you aren't going to give RVD/Booker the big strap, the IC title would have worked for them pefectly. I could see a great run for Booker with that IC title. I think that the danger the WWE had is if RVD or Booker had the IC title, they would be more over than the supposed 'champ'.

Jericho is an entertaining character and a good worker. But that's not going to carry a show. His whiny bitch heel schtick is fun for a segment or two, but it starts to wear really thin after awhile. He just doesn't have that level of believability as a mainevent heel. I've talked about this in other threads, but he's a goofy whiny little bitch. That's great for the tag team division, but it's not intense enough as a character to be the main guy.

HHH, like him or not, carries that intensity into his promos and his matches. He does a very good job of being spiteful, evil, and an all around asshole. The only difference is that he's able to do it and also look like he's about to kick your ass.

A top heel should be a guy who you can believe would win any match (HHH, Brock, Show, Taker, Angle, etc.), not a guy who you can believe could job at any minute to one of the Dudleys.

Considering Show was jobbing to the Jeff Hardy's of the world not that long ago, him jobbing at any minute to one of the Dudleys would not really be difficult to believe.

This is really funny to me.

My son, who is six, watches the first hour or so of Raw with me before he goes to bed. Every time..and I mean EVERY time for like six weeks straight ... Jeff Hardy comes out onto the ramp he says, "Hey dad, who is Jeff Hardy gonna fight? The Big Show? I bet it's the Big Show."

It's like clock work. I thought about explaining to him that BS was now on Smackdown and that he was the champ but I just let it go. In his eyes, all Big Show amounts to is a big guy that wrestles Jeff Hardy every week.

Buy my copy of Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Gamecube!

Problem is, I would rather see HHH GONE that get destroyed by someone...
If the WWE is trying to build HHH into the moster heel that the fans are begging to have someone beat, they are going about it the wrong way. If HHH disappeared from the face of the earth tomorrow- and the WWE did what they were intending with HHH, we would all be like -"Where is HHH? No, someone has to beat him!" As it is now, there would be general rejoicing if he vanished. The WWE has utterly failed if that is their intention...

Me, I liked Raw last night.

Seeing the Dudleys laid out after the commercial break was something a little different. I didn't mind so much. Also, I have no problem with two women's matches in one night. All I care about is good matches, and I believe that that's what both women's matches were.

Still not sure what Morley's MO is, but I'll stick around to watch. By the way, does anyone else think that Test looks like Morley with his new haircut? As for Randy Orton-- finally, the interruptor is the interrupted! I thought it was funny. Sure, it was HHH doing the interrupting, but still, as a concept, I liked it.

When I saw what the main event was, I was still thinking that it would be a 3-way match at Armageddon, so I just figured that the match would end in a no contest, or double DQ, or something. So, I guess, in a sense, I didn't see the finish of the main event coming!!

It still pains me to see the Hurricane turned into a jobber. I mean, I just don't see why he had to go from being a legitimate superstar on one show to just another jobber on the other.

As for Steiner on Smackdown....well, I was hoping he'd be on Raw, but I guess a feud with Brock could be interesting. I don't know, I just don't like looking at the man, though. I feel like he's going to come popping out of his skin at any second, and I don't think I could take hearing that noise when it happens. EEEWWWWW!!!!
