From puroresupower.com:

"Nikkan Sports editor Koichi Yoshizawa, under the kayfabe name of "Dave Liable" (combination of Dave Meltzer and Donnie Liable's names), reported in Thursday's edition of Nikkan Sports newspaper that Jean Paul Levesque (Triple H) will have his marriage ceremony with Stephanie McMahon on 10/25."

Your Official Sunday, April 13, 2003 Randomly Selected Wiener Of The Day Champion says....

The end is at hand!! Repent! Repent! Booker T, Kane, RVD...get out of WWE while you can!!! Jeff Hardy saw the evil coming thats really why he got out. I wonder if the wedding will be aired on tv and before the wedding itself they can play that "The end is near song" from WWE Anthology.

Actually the day of Armageddon would be the day Shane McMahon dies. Even though Steph and HHH may have influence now, I doubt they get the WWE when Vince dies/retires. Otherwise I think Shane has more reason than any of us to be pissed off about Steph and HHH's relationship.

So we've only got six months left to pray for Triple H to somehow royally screw the relationship up...start praying, folks. For the sake of the future of professional wrestling, start praying.

Heaven forbid that two people who may actually love each other get married. It's not as if you're with them in their bedroom, in their minds. Their hearts. Seeing their motives first hand, knowing the reasons why they are together. All you can do is examine, which leaves room for error. You COULD be right yes....but you could also be wrong.

And hey, maybe it's not Triple H's fault. Maybe it's not Steph's fault. Maybe it's not even entirly VINCE'S fault.

Maybe it was our fault for cheering/jeering/reacting to Triple H for a couple years, cementing him in the eyes of the WWE and marks as a main event player. Perhaps it was because while the WWE always gives guys pushes even if the crowd doesn't react to them, Triple H got some incredible heat for a long while, and occasioanlly still does (he produces more heat than many on both Smackdown! and RAW). Perhaps it was his string of good matches over those two years that raised the bar too high for himself, and raised our own expectations.

If you're going to create this many threads about this, and drag Triple H into EVERY thread you go in....put something in your sig.

Triple H doesn't love Stephanie. He loves the influence he has by being in a relationship with her. The very instant that relationship is no longer beneficial to his position in the company, he'll dump her like a bad habit. Bank on it.

Have you spoken to both of these parties? Have you been around them? Have you considered Vince is vengeful (much like a mob boss), and Triple H is now a part of the family? Say you're right. Triple H drops her as soon as she becomes a liability. Vince will punk out the man like SO. Not just like that, but like SO.

You have not taken any of my points into consideration. You have reverted back to your assumptions which were based on things reported by either bitter people or fourth/fifth hand sources.

Chyna....er, Patrick....maybe it's time to take a break form talking about Triple H so much. Maybe you should watch Smackdown!

EDIT: And have you looked at your message history? I checked it briefly. That's a lot of threads you made that involve Triple H. And that's not counting posts in OTHER'S threads. You sure there's not anythign more to this than just "disliking him"?

Bret Hart said it best during his interview with the one of the Canadian tv shows.

Reporter: Lets play name assocation, HHH?

Hart: He has had an agenda since day one.

I don't know if they really love each other or not. I would hope so, but part of me doubts it. HHH has been playing games and getting in good since he got there. I think this is the high point of the entire plan, he can't be fired ever without a hell of a lawsuit.

They remind of the rich bitch dad's girl from High School who dates the arrogant quaterback who likes to throw people around during his many study halls. If fate tells us anything about a relationship like that they'll end up in a trailer park somewhere with three kids.

A Fan- I wonder if Chyna will do a run in?

Dude, how can you possibly know this? You know, a few years ago, the guy who founded the company got involved with a woman. She was older. She didn't have bucks. She wasn't that pretty. So they talk was that she was just after his company, his power, his lifestyle. Ten or so years after, they are still married, still seemingly happy, seemingly enjoying similar interests, seemingly, they love each other.

HHH is probably a guy who wants to take every possible step he can to get/stay on top. But I doubt this is one of them. He probably just (and I know this is shocking) fell in love with a pretty good looking babe, who seems nice enough, who shares his interest in his business.

Sure, she's got (potentially) more bucks than he does. But don't you think Jean-Paul has enough money to reject gigiloitus. (is that a word?). I do. Congrats. Hunter, stop taking the 'Roids - they cut down on your sperm count. And happy wedding.

I don't think any of us can actually say that Stephanie and HHH don't love each other. There's only two people that know the answer to that one.

This marriage isn't going to change anything one way or another, though. If anything, all it will do is benefit HHH monetarily as he will be officially part of the McMahon family and stand to inherit its fortunes when Vince and Linda die. And, really, why should we care about that?

The problem is in full effect right now. People kiss up to HHH in hopes of getting in good with the McMahon family to keep their jobs and, by doing so, HHH gets the opportunity to do practically whatever he wants. There doesn't need to be a marriage for that to go on.

"If you're asking if I would ever date a wrestler, certainly I would. However it wouldn't be good business for me to get romantically involved with anyone in any aspect of our business."

Is it petty for me to wish unhappiness on them? Simply because a guy refuses to drop a meaningless title in fake match after fake match in a fake sport? And that he jealously clings to his spot in a company that's rapidly approaching obsurity?

Then call me fucking petty.

as gimmicked as your opinion may be, you may want to rethink this statement. If HHH "dumps" her, why would Vince side with HHH over his only daughter?

I can only assume that HHH and Stephanie love each other. He might very well have an agenda and be playing games, but to enter into marriage simply for political reasons - involving a fake sport, no less!!! - is one hell of a gamble and a sacrifice. Marriages are tough enough when two people actually do love each other. If they don't, then when it falls apart (and if he doesn't love her, he has to know he can't stay in it forever...), he's going to lose everything. Imagine the pain and heartbreak most couples go through when they divorce. Now multiply that by the public bitterness we saw when Bret Hart and Vince McMahon's professional relationship fell apart. That's at least as bad as the fall out is going to be. My only thoughts can be to wish them the best, and hope they have a happy life together. Cuz I wouldn't wish the alternative on anyone...

But people do marry people for semingly untenable reasons often. People trying to marry the bosses daugther to curry favor with the boss is not unheard of. You hate to see it, but it does happen.

I hate to see it, and I also don't understand the mindset behind people who do that. Well, I understand the premise, but... it just seems to me that the marriage is going to last longer than any potential benefits one might get from the relationship would. Once HHH is too old to be involved in the industry (if that day ever comes), would he then dump Stephanie, or would it not matter anymore? What if Stephanie were to start sleeping with interns or new wrestlers? Would he allow himself to be cuckolded or would he walk out of what is effectively the only wrestling promotion in America? I'm not saying I expect this to end up well, but I'm going to assume that it will. The only difference from my perspective is that when they break up, some of you can tell me that "you told me so." I'm not the one who would have to deal with the fallout of a loveless marriage...

Well said asteroidboy. I could cares less if he loves her or not. Good marriage, bad marriage, who gives a shit? What I care about is the fact that HHH has lost his sense of reality. All he cares about is the title and his spot at the top. He does not care about the business at all. If he did, he would do what is best for the business. Look at Flair. Flair put over talent when he was in his prime. The Rock puts over talent all the time. Even Andre put over Hulk when he did not have to, all for the good of the company. Does HHH? Nope. Never has, never will. You would think that he would have learned something from Foley about putting people over. Foley let fucking HHH fucking retire him! That is the most you could put someone over. Put does HHH remember? Nope. Does he care? Nope.

I hope that when this marriage takes place that HHH moves into Vince's place as evil owner and feuds with HBk, Nash or X-Pac.

WIENER OF THE DAY! July 6, 2002!

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaut on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."
