The NBA off season is cooling down a bit, most of the big names have been snatched up, so let me throw this little nugget out there ... is it safe to say that David Lee is finding a tough market because he is a non Euro white guy? If he were somebody else and put up those numbers going in to free agency wouldn't teams be tripping over themselves to give him 5 years for 50 million?
David Lee is never going to dominate the game, but he's a double double machine, can pass, isn't going to tear apart a locker room, and can play average defense. Add to it that he puts out max effort every night. I think Donnie Walsh and the Knicks know that the market for an American white guy is in the tank and that there are enough GMs out there that would rather hitch their wagon to a slug like Z-Bo.
