The complete Knightfall/Knightsquest/Knights End trillogy would be awesome too, with plenty that could hit the copy room floor and nobody'd notice, and it also carries the Nolan vibe, though with Nolan doing Bane, who knows.

Knightfall was great, the rest was so-so. I didn't like the ending where Bruce just uses Wayne Manor to convince Azrel to leave. DKR is my bible as a comic book fan more so then Watchmen, so they had better get this right. Killing Joke is not long enough for an animated movie, but I hear Year One will come before this. If its Bruce Timm, I have absolute faith in him.
I always wanted to see Warners do a live-action Batman anthology film, three shorter well-known stories in one theatrical release. They should hold THE KILLING JOKE for something like that, which will admittedly never happen.

Year One is already in the works and will be out soon. Been awhile since I read Killing Joke, but I don't remember it being THAT short. Year One is only four regular sized comics, so with a bit of padding, it could be done. Plus there's already a Youtube clip of Hamill reading some scenes from the comic in full Joker voice.

The bomb would be animated Long Halloween.
I think you will get some of that in Dark Knight Rises. I would lose my mind if they do a Long Halloween mini-series with Dark Victory.

I think any major storyline is probably game. In some cases, they are better because they don't have the weight of comic continuity to them. The Red Hood film was a LOT better than the comic, mainly due to the lack of Superboy's Magic punching BS.
