| #9 Posted on 15.7.05 0752.16 | Instant Rating: 4.49 | I just realized last night that we've got JBL vs Batista for the belt, and Hassan vs Taker for #1 contender at GAB.
That means we've got 4 possible title matches coming up at summerslam (in order of most likely):
1. Batista vs Taker: Is this 2003? Is that Brock? I guess they kinda look the same from the neck down. Will taker take a cue from HHH and job to the new blood? I mean this IS taker we're talking about here. Who'd be the heel anyway? A Face vs Face feud leading up to SS? We've still got Orton waiting in the wings, so an extended Taker-Batista Feud would kinda crimp his style. Although, Batista going over here would defiantly create some extra friction between the old evolution teammates "I took down the legend and you didn't, Mr. 'legend killer'".
2. JBL vs Taker: I don't think they'd give the belt to JBL at GAB, it just doesn't feel right for so many reasons. Not the least of which being the "didn't we just see JBL vs Taker like 6 months ago?" feeling.
3. Batista vs Hassan: Assuming Muhammad won the #1 contenders match via DQ or something (because taker lieing down for Hassan is just about unthinkable at this point), Batista Lesnar vs Hardcore Bob Hassan (Again, is this 2003?) has all the makings of a craptastic squash match, and I don't think they'd build to that at the 2nd biggest show of the year.
4. JBL vs Hassan: No... I mean... Just... No. I just recently started watching SD again, Don't make me quit already.
Seriously the one that makes the most sense to my addled brain is a Batista vs JBL rematch... but how do you do that with a legit #1 contender that isn't JBL? TV blow off?
