A lifetime of drug use always comes back to bite you in the ass. Yeah, a union would be nice, but it'll only happen after Vince's eagerly anticipated death.

As for Dynamite Kid's feelings on the matter, I'm no mind reader, but from the way he spoke of Davey Boy, I'm guessing he's pretty bummed. Davey Boy may have dicked him over several times, but he was still a blood relative.

Dude, it's really sad actually. I've been watching some tapes I have of the British Bulldogs in Japan and watching them at their prime, and seeing their current state just slaps you right in the face with how fragile life is. On top at one point, and now one is dead before 40 and the other is in a wheelchair for life. What makes it worse is that, as far as I know, there was no reconciliation between the cousins. They never had a last big talk or anything.

I don't know about you all, but after hearing about all of these deaths this month, I'm calling ALL of my relatives and close friends and spreading some love, just in case!

"All born equal unless you're Canadian
Then halfway through decay like Uranium
You define what's death-defying
Get the most out of life or at the least die trying
Are you Evil Knievel jumping a train?
Or running with scissors like Frasier Crane?
Have really good times doing really bad things
‘Cause the show ain't over ‘til the fat lady sings
Like Elton John with his candle in the wind
It's hard to blow out a flame as big as him
But we've all got to Wang Chung with the Grim Reaper
Whether you're Einstein whether you're Beaker
Death is certain so it's definitely worth flirtin'
Don't expect a bright light no just curtains
Life is like a penis most people don't know it
But most people suck so they usually blow it"

Shit! Am I getting old or is this industry screwed up?
This is, let me see, the 5th or 6th or 7th wrestler that I used to mark out for who has died on us.

Guys take out your old tapes and let's us play who is still alive, shall we?

You're just realizing *now* that the industry is screwed up?

I don't know how many can be all that surprised. I mean, how many stories of hardcore drug abuse can you hear about a guy before you are able to say "I kinda saw it coming"? Getting fired from McMahon isn't the *only* bad thing that comes from not getting off drugs.

Well, I always knew (for instance) that Yokuzuna was going
to die young. But his death was still a shock. Because that's something you don't won't want for even your worst enemy.

At the back of the mind, we all feel that - god forbid -
Scott Hall is headed the same way, but we all try to be in
denial about it - he will be okay, he will sober up, his friends will help him out etc.

So yes, you could see that Davey was fucked - so would we,
but, I hope you get what I am trying to say here, ....

NEWS: Erich Kulas, part of New Jack ECW controversy, dead at 22
By Wade Keller, Torch editor
May 18, 2002 8:57 pm

Erich Kulas, whose one match with ECW had major repercussions on the promotion, died Tuesday at home. He was 22 years old.

Wrestling at age 17 as "Mass Transit" on a small ECW house show six years ago, his opponent New Jack sliced his forehead open with an Exacto knife. Paul Heyman told reporters afterward that it was Kulas's ECW "initiation," downplaying the incident.

Kulas bled heavily in the ring, and later filed a lawsuit against ECW, claiming mental duress and physical effects. Although Kulas and his family didn't win any lawsuits, the tape of the match did lead to delay in ECW striking a deal to be distributed on PPV in the U.S.

Kulas's aspirations for a wrestling career never got back on track. His cause of death has not been released. The funeral was scheduled for today at 10 a.m. in Providence, R.I.
