I think Benoit and Jericho were wearing the wigs left over from the Rumble promo.

I'm hoping for a Gladiator spoof with Kurt Angle in the Russell Crowe role, with the entire crowd of Romans in the Coliseum chanting, "You suck!", and Kurt retorting, "I do not suck. I'm an Olympic gold-medallist!"

"Basic Instinct" Spoof:

Christan stole the show, IMO. His questions and his reactions were priceless.

But I give Benoit a nod for his reaction at the end.

If Jericho is in the "Michael Douglas" role, then why isn't Trish in the "Sharon Stone" role? She would have pulled it off better, but I guess Stacy was the only Diva willing to do the beaver/panty shot.

They prolly used Stacy because her most famous feature is her legs, and that's a big part of the "Basic Instinct" scene. Stacy's legit tall for a woman; it wouldn't have worked as well with Trish, who, IIRC, isn't much over 5'.

And, yes, Christian pretty much stole that commercial. The moment after he asks his question, and Benoit and Jericho just pause and stare at him with a "... What The FSCK?!" look... priceless.

Saw the Basic Instinct parody yesterday and I was howling by the end. Both Chris' facial expressions and Christian's total performance was hilarious. Plus the reactions to the ending were great.

I've seen the Eugene/Forrest commercial and thought it was okay, but the ending seemed weak. I still have to see the Braveheart spoof.

I lost it when Christian uttered a very ButtHead-esque "I Love You".

I'm hoping we get a new one of these every week leading up to WM21.

Thanks a million, oh, man, HHH went on and on and on in that Braveheart thing. I dig him, but even I wanted to slap a muzzle on him. Flair cracked me the hell up though. Basic Instinct was okay, I agree Christian was the best part. I'm 100% glad Benoit no sold the 'lingerie pillow fight', because after all, they ain't WRASSLIN'. Excellent stuff, keep them coming, WWE. Now about this diva thing....

People, people, people. The obvious revelation of the Basic Instinct spoof is that Jericho looks better with short hair.

Now, what's the over/under for some advocacy group to blame the WWE for showing kids its sexy to smoke?

It's too bad I can't think of anyone on either side of the WWE roster who could be a stand-in for Carl Spackler.

"It's a Cinderella story of an unknown groundskeeper...in the main event at WrestleMania" NEEDS to happen. I just can't think of who, though.

EDIT: ...and then it hit me. BIG DAVE

I liked the Braveheart spoof...it looked like both Flair and Trips were having fun. Seeing him walked along the "road to Wrestlemania" on a donkey was fun, as was seeing Trips fall off the horse.

If all of these promos are available on the WMXXI DVD, I'm SO definately getting it. :-)

Seeing stacy smoke kinda took alot away in terms of her attractiveness to me. Which is wierd, because my girlfriend is named Stacey, and she smokes...huh. Kinda hypocritacal i guess. But it is fun to make out with my girlfriend and think of stacy kiebler. :)

But her teeth must be covered in all that gunk? I guess that's why I make out with Stacy Keibler and think of your girlfriend, OH!

I think the Basic Instinct one is the best by a lot. Christian's delivery on the big line is hilarious. I was LOL'ing.

They should do one for Fahrenheit 9/11 with Jim Ross dressed up in the Michael Moore slob costume and Vince McMahon as the president. Hassan: "Ever since 9/11..."

HAving watched it a few more times, the braveheart one goes a long way towards showing just how much Helmsley's willing to give for this company. I'm sure he reads what people think of him; like how he talks too much, he hogs camera time, he holds other stars down. This spot had ALL of that yet also made him look like an ass, making fun of it all. How many other people would do that for thier work?

Yet again, in the Basic Instinct commercial, Christian steals the show. Captain Charisma rules! I REALLY didn't need Moolah and May Young in there at the end, too bad it couldn't have been Brisco and Patterson... THAT would've totally ruled!

Im not a big fan of the Gump parody, but the Breaveheart and Basic Instinct ones rule! (especially the Basic Instinct)

Memorable-est Moments:
(they have been mentioned, but to elaborate)-

Benoit asks an ambiguos wrestling question, if she likes "hardcore activity?" and then Christian just comes out with "sado-massochistic activity?"- with that Captain Charisma grin on his face- Highlarious (specially the Chrisses reactions and his after-grin)

Then of course, out of nowhere "I love you!". Great.

I have to say that people have been sweating Christian's entertainment value lately- and I didnt see what the big deal was until his last few mic/backstage spots and this promo- Im definitely a part of the peepulation now.

If I may take a page from the Justin Shapiro Double Posting Playbook...

I think the *best* one so far is the Eugene ad, because it's nice, it does the best job of promoting WrestleMania which is what an ad should do, AND perhaps most importantly you don't even have to watch WWE to understand it. It's just a retard on a bench saying he likes WrestleMania, what's to get? But aside from a chuckle for "run, Eugene, run", even though you wouldn't think Regal ever saw Forrest Gump with the way he delivers it, there's nothing funny to write home about.

I would say Braveheart is the *funniest* so far what with Flair pulling a donkey, Flair whoooo'ing in a donkey's face, H falling off the horse, and Flair doing the crazy old man dance-strut while pulling H on the donkey. But it's close. This one also does an acceptable job of promoting WrestleMania. But if you don't watch WWE you're not going to get this at all, so it loses points.

Then the Stacy ad. Christian's line is good, and I also like Benoit's reaction, and I even liked the ending. Hilarity advantage to Flair, though, if you ask me. But where this one falls apart is that whereas the other ones seem to loosely fit the characters that are in them, this one is just random. "I've got one, Christian & Benoit can interrogate Stacy!" What. And they don't even talk about WrestleMania. In a WrestleMania ad. Plus, there's the smoking. That's the last time I ever think about putting any part of my body into Stacy's disgusting smoker mouth.

My board goes 1) Eugene, 2) Donkey, 3) Stacy, and if they'd listened to me about Lita dying in childbirth, there could be a good one with Matt Hardy and Kane in a tunnel doing the Fugitive "I DIDN'T KILL MY WIFE" bit before Kane jumps off the dam and Matt follows him off with the "ahhhhh" legdrop. But now they'd probably have to do Taker saying he didn't kill Paul Bearer or some shit. Or Dawn Marie telling Torrie she didn't kill her dad, and they catfight off the edge, and then they fight in the water below in wet t-shirts. Regardless, I may have already put more thought into this than whoever came up with Stacy's.

No. No. The obvious choice for The Fugitive spoof are Kane and Gene Snitsky!

I think if you wanted a Snitsky "it wasn't my fault" ad, which I dunno why you would, you'd have him do the Jake Blues routine about why he didn't show up for his wedding to Heidenreich.

Okay, everyone stop now. We have a winner! Snitsky and all the Divas wrestling in mud under a bridge overpass is your WM21 Main Event. Followed by Margo Kidder blowing up the bridge. And yes I'm drunk.
