Who are your favorite bands whose albums simply aren't available at 99% of America's record stores, even the non-chain variety?
(spurred on by my finally tracking down MP3s of the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, whose only US release consists of providing the music for Incredible Crisis on the PlayStation, but who have a huge catalog of great ska/jazz albums that are currently Japan-only)
"When I feel depressed, I sit under a willow tree by a cool river, and imagine that I am strangling a duck." -- Kotaro Sarai
The only band/artist I can think of offhand is Deavid Soul... he did a few songs for Jet Grind Radio. That game's got a surprisingly good soundtrack... well, except for the songs they tacked on for the US release... and even there, the contributions by Mixmaster Mike and J-5 are pretty good. Other than stuff off that game, though, I don't really listen to a lot of import-only artists.
