"...others say my mom sucked 3,000 dicks." (Nag) The paper where I work sells off their promo CD's every now and then, donating the proceeds. So I figured I'd jack up their donation, and among the CD's I snagged were the two major-label releases by these guys. They're a small jazz combo (bass/piano/drums) that's probably more famous for their selection in covers:
* Nirvana: "Smells Like Teen Spirit" * Aphex Twin: "Flim" * Blondie: "Heart of Glass" * Pixies: "Velouria" * Black Sabbath: "Iron Man"
Only listened to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Heart of Glass" so far, and I'm really impressed with what they've done with these songs. Seems like they get what jazz musicians have done for years, but just with different material.
Am I the only one who's heard of them here?

If anyone is interested, I'd recommend popping over to Amazon - they have samples you could listen to.
