Hey, just wanted to thanks to you W's who responded to my "Going to California" thread a few months ago. Your advice really helped.

I didn't hit Taco Fiesta, since there was a Rubio's right next to my hotel. But, I did follow-up on the advice to use the MTS Trolley and I even visited the Whaley House. Also checked out Newport Beach up in Orange County. Ended up going to Catalina. All around, an excellent trip, made so by YOU! Yes, you!

I have more goofy SDCC pictures, but most importantly, I found out that the Cobra Clutch really hurts:

Thanks again for all your pointers. I'm already thinking about going back, next year.

It's surprising how much some of those holds can hurt I vividly recall when my friend (a world-level amateur wrestler) put me in an Indian Death Lock. I thought he was going to snap my leg in half.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. I moved from CA (NorCal, not down where you were) a few years ago but I always enjoy myself when I can get back.

My next marathon is October 7th 2007 -- Royal Victoria
The Guinness.

Yeah, I have. I was 27 and moved from Boston to Orlando. I had no wife, kids, etc. My job was in serious jeopardy of being cut, so I knew my days there were numbered. (Turns out I was right. My department was basically axed a mere 2 months later)
