My brother is in the Army and recently left for Iraq. He was of course scared and very nervous. He left the airport in Washington and flew to Maine. He told me that when he and his fellow soldiers got off the plane there were dozens of people waiting, civillians, all with yellow ribbons, flags and signs telling them how they were heros. My brother told me the coolest thing of all, they had hundreds of prepaid cellphones and handed them out to the soldiers so they could call their loved ones and tell them how they were doing.
This is probably one of the coolest things I've heard of thats happened, I'm so grateful to those people for their kindness.
Your policy is not racist , it is one of the few sensible things I can say Australia has done lately. Keep them out and send them back. you are in for nothing but headaches, because the more you let in, the more will want in.
