He left the airport in Washington and flew to Maine.
He told me that when he and his fellow soldiers got off the plane there were dozens of people waiting, civillians, all with yellow ribbons, flags and signs telling them how they were heros.
My brother told me the coolest thing of all, they had hundreds of prepaid cellphones and handed them out to the soldiers so they could call their loved ones and tell them how they were doing.
This is probably one of the coolest things I've heard of thats happened, I'm so grateful to those people for their kindness.| Promote this thread! |           | pieman

Outstanding. This is exactly the kind of support we all need to show each and every one of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines when they go to defend our freedom.
God bless 'em...may they accomplish their mission and come home safe.
