From their website:

"In Rome, the U.N. World Food Program announced it had received 20 percent of a $1.3 billion appeal issued last week to feed the Iraqi people. The largest portion, $260 million, came from the United States."

Um, 260 million IS 20 percent of 1.3 billion. That makes all other countries tied for second....

I don't want to insult liberals by lumping Rather in with them. Thus, he's senile, as any complaints by the senile will quickly be forgotten. And, considering some of the crew over at CBS News, I'm surprised they have a computer, let alone a web site.

I consider myself a liberal and I've always hated Rather. He's just such a smug bastard.

I've felt kind of sorry for Dan lately, not that I like him or anything. He just has looked more and more confused in any kind of "emergent news" situation. He's one of the old guard that really depended on "copy" to prepare for a newscast.

His advancing years have not helped him much either.

My wife on the other hand despises him for some unknown reason. If Danny-boy and my wife ended up in the same room, he wouldn't be long for this world.

When all else fails, there's always the Simpsons.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7696119.stm Ceertainly it looks like neither of the sides was in the right here, but it wasn't as one-sided as it was originally portrayed.
