WWE has managed to botch this storyline as badly as they have almost every other storyline this past year by making this immunity irrelevant. Test's done nothing that would test the immunity clause; indeed, he's been told that he can be suspended despite the immunity clause (which makes it a very weak immunity clause indeed). It's probably irrelevant, and Test's probably history anyway, but - how would you have used Test's immunity in the context of the past year's events?

They could re-enact the McMahon/Austin storyline with the boss being unable to fire the guy who won it (I know that with Austin McMahon was scared of Austin, and also said that firing him was too easy, but the result is the same) and if they're suspended, then all the better, as Test could then show up at WWE headquarters, for example, and beat the crap out of the boss in a meeting until he re-enstated him as an active wrestler.

Yeah, pretty sad that this actually good angle has to be relegated to fantasy booking now.

| #4 Posted on 18.10.02 1345.21 | In my eyes they botched it one day after the Survivor Series, it just sounded cool at the PPV. Using his immunity I would have imagined the old Stone Cold gimmick who just went around stunning everyone, giving a crap about everything, this would have been a way to use this angle. Unfortunately Test is not the guy I can see in this role......
Sweet dreams...... |
