"I... I love you. There, I said it. I love you! Can't you see how hard this is for me? Why won't you say something? Damn you. I pour out my heart like this and all you can do is stand there?! Kiss me or hit me, but do something! Why do you enjoy torturing me this way? *sob*"
Or maybe I'm reading to much into an intimate moment caught in public...
Between this and my negativity towards the Pistons/Celtics series, I'd rather at least one team make it further so I don't have to turn my attention to how badly the Tigers blow just yet (heaven forbid Lions training camp talk start up).
I just had to leave lurking mode to comment on that AWESOME picture of the TARDIS! And after finally watching the Star Wars Family Guy parody in its entirety (including the hyperspace gag with the Fourth Doctor's title sequence), seeing the good ol' police box adorning the top of The W does my ever-loving Whovian heart tons of good.
Dr. Who is definitely one of the best shows on television right now, but can anyone 'splain for me why the only do 13 episodes at a time and now I find out that they are essentially going to SKIP A YEAR. Does this mean I'm going to have to ferret out the Sarah Jane Chronicles or the second season of Torchwood? (BTW, are they any good? I've seen the first season of Torchwood and thought it was ok, but not on par with the Doctor.)
I mark out every time I hear the box arrive/leave.
Originally posted by SchippeWreckOh, and rinberg, they're not skipping an ENTIRE year. There will be specials (I think three) spread throughout the year. Not nearly enough, I know, but it's SOMETHING.
Yeah, it's better than nothing, but I have a hard time understanding why they would take the time off. Is the show not popular in the UK? Or maybe it's SO popular that they can do what they want?! I can't imagine Lost or The Office taking a year off and only doing some specials for whatever reason.
Having said that, I'm starting to sound whiny, so I'm gonna shut up about it. I wonder if the SciFi Channel will pick up the specials...

British TV is different. The British version of The Office, in fact, ran like this: 1st season: July to Aug, 2001 2nd season: Sept to Nov, 2002 Christmas Special: Dec 2003
Likewise, Monty Python's Flying Circus ran like this: Season 1: Oct 1969 - Jan 1970 Season 2: Sep 1970 - Dec 1970 Season 3: Oct 1972 - Jan 1973 Season 4: Oct 1974 - Dec 1974
Absolutely Fabulous, Mr. Bean, Red Dwarf all show similar breaks. I don't know why it's like that, but there you are.
