The GPU in my 2008 Mac died Thanksgiving morning (well, 1am) - probably the most inconvenient time in the world. It's now with whoever the Genius suggested earlier, where I'm spending way too much money to get the entire logic board replaced despite it being waaaaaay out of warranty in the hopes that it will last another five years...I guess. (Mostly, I didn't feel like dropping $2700 on a 2013 Mac.) I managed to get my 2005 Mac working but it's super slow AND it's running OS X 10.5 on a PowerPC, which means Firefox 3, no Chrome, and I have no idea where whatever version of PhotoShop Elements I was using way back when might be because I never installed it on here after I replaced the hard drive for the second time (because I was only using it as a Time Machine for the 2008 Mac).
So what I'm saying is that for the next seven days (hopefully just that long), we'll be seeing just how many extra banners I've built up and burning them off.
Actually, since it's December, I'd probably be doing that anyway!
Apparently the Rodgers Bomb I MEANT to show on Monday ended up being a repeat, and nobody called me on it. Then I somehow screwed up TODAY'S banner because we had the test pattern most of the day. So now I'm killing two with one and sure hope I can pull it together for the rest of the year. Clearly, I'm working too hard.
Before our trip to NYC last month, I had no idea they kept the new year's ball up and lit the entire year!
Also that Time's Square has a mirrored layout, so if you stand in the center of it you get the same view looking left and right

The Banished folder used to be a guilty pleasure of mine. It was the occasional fuck-up thread or a thread that ended in a ZIM clever remark. Now it is just full of crap that used to be deleted and forgotten with no fan fare.
