I'm surprised it's taken this long. Women have been offered jobs before(notable Pat Summit offered the men's job at Tennesse) I'm just surprised that somebody somehwere hasn't done it as a gimmick.
There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism.

| #4 Posted on 12.2.03 2205.24 | Well, reading the article, it's not that big of deal. It's just one game, and she has coaching experience. Though I would tend to think one of the assistants could handle it just fine as well, so you would think this is also part publicity stunt.
I think the toughest part of being a female coach trying to coach guys would be the respect aspect. Could she gain the men's respect, or would they be automatically rejected?
Pat Summit is one of the few, if not only, women I believe could coach guys and get the job done. At least she gives looks to her girls that would scare the piss out of me anyway.
