The Blog X-Perience
The last blogpost I did was about why the GOP candidates are a terrible joke (spoilers: the punchline is Newt Gingrich)
I also will write about video games and other ridiculousness including Pro Wrasslin.
If you guys have a chance, let me know what you do/dont like about this so I'll have some feedback from (purportedly) level-headed people.

I remember when you used to do some recaps, and I actually liked those quite a bit. The political stuff isn't great. It's either jokes I've heard before, or stuff that's honestly not very funny. Political humor is tricky in any event, but the GOP field this year are, in my opinion, pretty soft targets, and nothing you offer is particularly insightful, cutting, or even (forgive me here) clever. Basically, I think pop culture going to be a more fertile area for you than politics.
The real problem with your blog, though, is the layout. That thing is a fucking travesty, pardon my French. The sidebars are too big, which offsets the actual content and makes it harder to read. The background's an issue too, because white on black is honestly way too high-contrast. It murders your eyes after a while. I get the feeling you just wanted to stay away from the boring and typical black on white, but maybe something more like what the board does with a blue background would be better. I'm not sure why the fist with the pen is plastered all over, either, but that logo isn't very appealing, and I don't think it really reflects the "brand" identity that you're going for with your content.
Ending on a positive note, I think the captions for your images are pretty killer, even the political ones. I think you work really well when you have something specific to go off of.
Okay, I hope that wasn't too severe, and I really hope that something I said in there was helpful for you. Good luck with the blog. | CHAPLOW

I'm not about changing the logo for my graphic design team, which is what the fist that you mentioned is.
Aside from that I think you've given me some insight on what my strengths are so thank you. And yeah I gotta stop being lazy and fix the layout already, so thanks for pointing that out as well.
I'm going to also try to review music and movies and see how that goes.
...
Also, CRZ! Evidently my wrestling recaps had fans! But you thought I didn't have what it takes to run with the ball brother. Just burying me cause I wasn't one of your creations brother!

If you wanna do politics, stay strictly political and your readers will all be people that basically agree with you.
Also, critquing the entire GOP field is dated. Woulda been fine six months ago, but now it comes off as being late to the party. | CHAPLOW

In more ways than one!
Yeah... I was thinking that maybe when the GOP stuff was closer to its end I could make this blog post as a look back on it. I got antsy though thinking about my photoshops and captions... couldn't wait.
You are right though; I shouldnt alienate anyone if I can help it when I'm trying to start building an audience. Thank you Mr. Flamingo.
