Are the Bucs looking to make a monster splash in the free agent season? Are they broke?

Despite my alias, I don't really care all that much for the NFL anymore. That said, I always thought Derrick Brooks would and should retire a Buccaneer, so I think it's sad that they've dumped him. I don't really understand the reason either - he was a Pro Bowler last year. Getting younger just for the sake of getting younger is stupid, and the Bucs are doing it by dumping one of the two or three best players in team history, a guy still playing excellent football.
Also, I didn't realize just how good Warrick Dunn has been throughout his career:
Dunn, 34, was the man of the year in 2004.
He played his first five seasons with the Bucs, spent six years with the Atlanta Falcons and then rejoined Tampa Bay last season, rushing for 786 yards and a 4.2 average.
He made the Pro Bowl three times and is the sixth player in NFL history to have over 10,000 yards rushing and 500 receptions. Dunn has played in 181 games with 154 starts and rushed for 10,967 yards, 19th in NFL history.
I am glad to see Ronde Barber survive, though. He's my favorite player on the team. | supersalvadoran
