Anyone know if any of the new baseball games for the PS2 have online capability? I've been trying to figure this out and it looks like none of them do. I'm thinking about picking one up and if I can play it online, that's definately a big plus. Thanks.
Yeah, it does seem to be slim pickings for the online capabilities of PS2 online baseball... BUT World Series 2k3 is by far the best baseball game that I have ever played. I picked it up today and managed to play about 10 games in a row before I realized that I had to piss. I haven't found one thing about this game that I don't like. I reccomend it highly.

That's kinda cool. I was really looking forward to all the new baseball games this year, especially MVP because I figured it'd have to be online. Now that I think about it, though, Madden's the only EA game that has online capability, isn't it? Oh well. I'll still probably pick one of them up at some point this week. These televised spring training BoSox games just aren't enough for me right now! Two weeks until opening day, two weeks til opening day...
I don't know about EA Sports. I generally like their games but starting next year they'll charge for online play, even on the PS2. They've started charging for online play on PC for their 2003 games (Madden, NHL). It's called EASO (EA Sports Online)
Hopefully Sega keeps everything free. NHL2k3 and NFL2k3 rock.
I rented MVP Baseball, due to Crashalot XBox, I didn't get to actually play a game, but the Franchise mode.. uses BARS, instead of numbers for stats. That's LAME AS HELL.

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but the Triple Play series sucked ass. The new MVP Baseball 2003 kicks about 34 kinds of ass, including a cool franchise mode with goals set relative to the franchise you start out with and the ability to break into a sim game to try and finish it. (Although that may have already been there.)
