What an unbelievable successful run as commish! Labor peace, astronomical ratings, revenue through the roof, etc. He'll be a tough one to follow, and he has set the bar even higher than Rozelle did. That said, did anyone else know that Condoleeza Rice's name has come up as a candidate to replace him? She, of course, has declined. (sportsillustrated.cnn.com) Indiana! Indiana! . . . let it go.

Considering I am 36, and he is only the second Commish in my lifetime, I'd say this is a pretty big deal. He got the BILLIONS in TV contracts, and expanded, and returned to cities that teams had fled. His mark is huge, and I cant imagine a commisioner being more efficient and successful.
STILL no love for the Patriots AGAIN. I cant wait to see how Simmons reacts to this.
