You aren't a very bright person, but since you always mean well and you're so likeable, people don't really care.
I know this has been firmly established as the prevailing reaction, but when that promo aired, I about PISSED MY PANTS in disbelief and craziness. It reminded me so much of those Mysterio "he's coming" promos.
Shock. Joy. Then disappointment.
"Oh, i'll never understand this emptiness...but I'll never really try and understand, I guess." - Whiskeytown, Sit and Listen to the Rain
One more voice in the "what the....HOLY SHIT....Aw dammit!" camp when they saw that promo here. For a couple of seconds I thought it was going to bring closure to the last truly hanging thread from this Golden Age of wrestling. WWE has basically absorbed WCW and ECW, bringing Paul and Eric with them. The NWO finally returned, bringing that to its final conclusion...they took over, and now they came home. Shawn Michaels finally made his return to deal with the man who took over the Clique/DX in his absence. This is the last thing out there. All the fake and real stories have come full circle except for Bret stepping one more time into a WWE ring and demanding in some form or another his vindication for the way he was treated that November nite. I understand why he would never want to, and I respect that, but as a wrestling fan, I still want to see it one more time.
Maybe we can win this week: Green Bay34, Chicago 21 Bears go to 2-3 (next vs. Detroit Oct. 20)
I haven't checked the list but I'm betting 7/22/02 was the day he was picked as Wiener Of The Day. Either that, or he was -really- happy The Rock won the Undisputed Title at Vengeance the night before.
Lesnar/Benoit would be a good if not great match, and Wrestlemania will sell anyways, but they will need Goldberg come the dog days of spring/summer, especially since Rock begins shooting a movie in May, Michaels is probaly done after Wrestlemania, and Ho...
