Okay, I'll give you a rough outline of what I'm working on at the moment. It basically charts the rise of a wrestler over the course of ten years or so, from the indys, to when he graduates to the big leagues with his tag partner, to making it big on a fluke (ie. his tag partner was SUPPOSED to get the push, but was injured), to turning into a greedy bastard himself. He retires, but is lured back by one big payoff, putting over a younger star. In the ultimate Shakespearian irony, he ends up on the wrong end of a piledriver in the match and bows out of wrestling-and walking-for good.
It's a simple story, but told right (which I hope I can do) I think it could really work. Whaddaya think? Obviously there are a few more twists on the way, but I don't wanna give EVERYTHING away. ;)
Old School's Film Quote O' The Week-"We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes"-Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates, Psycho; Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis, Scream. Oddly fitting this week, I thought.

Sounds like a good idea, if not overly sentimental sounding. Remember, right now wrestling isn't hot so it would be really tough to sell a script about wrestling. Work on it now and then try to sell it after the next boom starts. Also, let me suggest zoetrope.com, probably the best screenwriting community on the 'net. It's run by Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope production company. Sign up, submit your screenplay (after reviewing 4 other scripts) and other members will review your script, giving you usually very helpful tips on how to revise and improve your writing. Since I've joined I've improve exponentially as a screenwriter. Plus, it's a good way to meet people and make contacts in the industry. Zoetrope just optioned a script straight from the site.

Let's see... How much does you connection cost? Sure, you don't use it exclusively to download TNA PPVs but... the fact of the matter is you still pay to see those shows. And how much money does TNA get? NADA. ZIP. NICHTS. RIEN.
