According to Never thought Mae Young would out-live her. Still, a beacon for women wrestlers everywhere. RIP.

I would also consider her inspirational to senior citizens of both genders. Mae and herself were very entertaining to me.

She was one tough broad. Some of the bumps her and Mae were taking were crisper and harder than guys a third her age. Not to mention she was the Women's division and successful at it as an unatractive heel.

I'll have to rent Lipstick & Dynamite tonight as my own personal tribute.

If I live nearly that long, with anywhere close to the vitality, I'll consider myself very lucky.

That was quite the life.. I don't think I can even imagine what it must have been like for a woman to try and make a career in the business back in the 50's. I was fortunate to be watching when the big Moolah/Richter feud played out, I believe it even headlined one of the MTV specials, with Hogan something of a second banana.

Moolah and Capt. Lou played it to the hilt, with Albano's "unorthodox" training methods being played out in comparison to Cyndi Lauper getting Wendi ready for the big match. It's so nice to remember back when they took the time to properly build up a money match like that...

And then there was the unintentional comedy of the "Spider Lady" match, when Moolah went out under a mask at (I believe) MSG to take the title back, rumor has it that she did it in a shoot (more likely she and the referee swerved Richter) after the famous "take it or leave it" contract offer just before Wendi was going out for the match. Of course I wasn't anywhere near 'smart' back then. The comedy came when Moolah (under the mask and in a black bodysuit) was out there, and her physical shape was just so obviously different compared to whoever was under the mask before this, the entire front row was pointing at her while doing a "Moolah! Moolah!" chant as the match played out. A bit of education for the mark, back in the day

And then there were the more recent appearances with Mae Young, how nice that they could get the occasional spot in the sun, and be pretty darned entertaining in small doses. My favorite of this era was the WrestleMania blackout sketch where Moolah and Mae appeared to pull a disheveled Mean Gene and Heenan back into some storage room for "more". How great would it be if we all could live such full lives... Condolences to Moolah's daughter, grandchildren, Mae, and her many other friends and acquaintances.

It's the Big "W", I tell ya! The Big "W"!

You know how people say no one will ever reach Cal Ripken's "consecutive games played" record? No one will EVER touch Moolah's record title reign.

RIP Moolah

A real dame, a hell of a broad. Should there be an afterlife, she's obviously outdrinking the boys there already.

Peace to Moolah and those who love her.

Sad to hear, but what a long, amazing life she lived.

I thought this was a very strong Impact. Besides for the Pope-Devon stuff there was nothing outright bad. The Jarrett segments were really funny and for the first tine in forever I found Karen Jarrett tolerable.
