I saw the commercial and it seems the only resemblence to the cartoon is the title.
It looks like they threw a cape on "Air Bud" and gave him Jason Lee's voice.
The Chipmunks poster looks like it could be pretty bad.
But what do I know?

Also, I'm actually kind-of shocked that they got the "One Nation Under Dog" tagline approved, though I think they're trying to downplay it in the full trailer, mentioning it, but ending with a new tagline.
Unconfirmed by me (I read it on Wikipedia- why did you make me look up Underdog on Wikipedia?) reports say that The Blanks (Ted's A capella group on Scrubs) will be doing the theme.
So there's that, Peter Dinklage (I think someone here likes all his movies) and Patrick Warburton basically doing a live action version of Kronk to look forward to in this movie.

Sorry to steer this off-topic (as if the comics discussion was on), but I just got the Newsradio Season Five DVD and am on the last disc, but I just wanted to say how great that Johnny Johnson character was. Probably one of my fav non full-time characters ever.
