It took me many years to appreciate Chris. Back in WCW, I didn't understand what made the greats great. Him, Eddie, Jericho, and others I never really understood why there was so much of a fuss about them. Once I matured, I learned more about wrestling, and was able to appreciate what they did, and Chris really always stood out for me.
He became one of my favorite people to watch, and seeing him win the Rumble which they reshowed tonight, watching him win the World Heavyweight Championship was such an exciting moment for me.
If I wasn't so numb at the news, I know I would be crying my eyes out. Next week, I will be at the Supershow in Dallas, and can't help but imagine how much emotion will be in that arena.
Chris, we miss you already, thank you for some great wrestling, some great memories.

I am just totally and completely dumbfounded. Prayers out to his family in this terrible time. I just don't know what to say, but I just felt like I should post something.
This really sucks.

Had given up on the product after the McMahon business. Flipped on the site around 8 and saw the place was crowded, and that is never a good sign so I looked to see who was dead this time. Never expected it to be Benoit, Fallen Angel/Woman and their kid. Remember Fallen Angel all the way back to Florida in the early 80's. The difference for me between this and Eddie is that somewhere in the back of your mind Eddie wasn't a complete shock. This is, especially when it is multiple deaths. RIP Benoit Family.
'Ric Flair wishes he was Paul Roma.' Congratulations Paul on winning the Idiotic Comment of the Decade Award.
I have no words. Totally at a loss. RIP Mr Benoit. RIP Nancy, and RIP Daniel.
Every other site I'm finding on google says it's being looked at as a homicide only, so I pray to God that this is just one site getting the information wrong. A while ago some were reporting that police said they were shot to death, but the police have since said that that was untrue.
I think we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out more information about this once things settle down.
ESPN says the autopsy reports will be out tomorrow.
Still in shock.
Chavo talking about Chris broke my heart. I can't imagine being him right now. Finding his brother, and a few short years later, one of his best friends dies as well.
God... Chavo and Dean. I can't believe they have to go through this again for the second time in less than two years. Chavo's message tonight, in particular, was finally the one that moved me out of the numbness and into the tears of grieving.

a real shame this happened, the storyline is now gone, and Austin uas rumored to get involved tonight in the storyline.
Sad turn, I feel horrible. May god bless the Benoit family during this very had time.
The WWE is now showing 2001 Chris in the R.R. I was there, the best ladder match.

Everyone in the TNA family joins the entire wrestling world in mourning the untimely passing of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel.
Many TNA staff and stars worked closely with Chris throughout his career and we are all shocked and saddened to lose a friend and legendary competitor. Benoit was considered a consummate professional both in and out of the ring. Please keep Chris and the Benoit family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of tragedy.
As oft repeated in this thread, I haven't been able to find the words. I hope I'm wrong, I hope there's an afterlife, and I hope after his last moment on Earth, he got to relive one of his greatest.
This YouTube video hit some of the dirt sites of Monday's guest host Maria Menounos working in the ring. Honestly, for a celebrity interviewer, she's not bad at all. Better than Jay Leno, I'd say, though she lacks his quickness.
