--Where was Sullivan during this time period?
--But did they check to see if he actually called the airport? It was Delta, I think, who he said he called in specific. Were the reservations made? Were one of the phones dialed to a Delta Airlines number or a travel agency something on Saturday (when he supposedly told someone that he called them)
--What were the Scripture verses that were texted?
--Were the Bibles open? Were they pointing to a particular verse?
--Were there any other phone calls made (they have the cell phones...)
--What do his other children say? Was he unstable in their eyes?
--One more...was he particularly good at using technology, typing, etc...?

The reason I'm asking these in a public forum is because I don't want the issue to fade away without these types of things being answered.

Listen, virtually no one...NO ONE (besides Bruce Hart, who saw him what...3 times in the past 7 years?) saw something like this coming.

I'm not really concerned about getting eyes rolled. These are logical, valid questions. If everything "fits" so well into a double murder/suicide, then that's the way it is, and the answers should reflect such.

      But if not...

These are questions worth asking. Surely there are others out there that are asking these same things...

It's a theory I'm sure the police would have been thrilled to explore if all the evidence in the home didn't ALL point to Benoit.

They're still questions that would be nice to be answered.

Are we certain, for that matter, that Kevin Sullivan didn't also kill Eddie Guerrero?

Like someone else posted a page or so back, I haven't been here in a long time. Sucks that it took something like this to bring me back.

This is lengthy, so please bear with me.

My significant other called me as soon as he heard what happened. We were both completely numb the rest of the evening.

I've been disgusted with RAW for a long time and hardly ever watch it anymore. Since it was supposed to be the "three hour tribute to 'dead Vince'", just decided to do something else instead.

My mom--and God bless her, she's endured many a tirade of mine about the business these last few years--will watch wrestling with me on occasion. Believe it or not, last week was the first time she saw Benoit wrestle. I was telling her then how excited and happy I was that he'd been brought over to ECW; that he was a very talented performer.

She watched the tribute show with me and really seemed to enjoy the matches. When she asks questions about who everyone is, or different things about the show, I know she's paying attention and likes some of what she's seeing.

I'd been spinning out all kinds of scenarios as to what might have happened. Maybe part of it was just trying to be an armchair detective, but it was probably more denial than anything else. When I heard what happened, my first thought was double murder/suicide.

Before she went to bed Monday night, she said she hoped it wasn't one of the violent scenarios I'd put forth. When she watched the news Tuesday, all she said was "something must have just made that man snap".

I'd barely been at my desk for five minutes Tuesday morning when someone on the cleaning crew in our building who knows I'm a wrestling fan comes running up to me--have you heard about Benoit; how could he do such a thing? I had to be a little harsh and say look, I know and I really don't want to talk about it right now.

Like so many people,I'm struggling to make sense out of the senseless. It's a very, very hard struggle. My significant other and I had an argument about this the other night.
He keeps saying "How can you ever watch any of his matches again, knowing that the hands used to put on the Crippler Crossface are the same hands that murdered his wife and child?"

As he put it, don't feel sad that Benoit is gone. Feel sad for Nancy and Daniel, yes. But not for him.

It's hard because right now, I'm trying to remember all the good things. I want to remember the ladder match at the 2001 Royal Rumble (especially that awesome submission move on the ladder).

I want to remember those epic battles with Kurt Angle; the ones that prompted me to say, "There's no such thing as a bad Angle/Benoit match."

I want to remember the guy who, with a gap toothed grin, stuck Angle's "gold medals" down his tights and talked about keeping them in a "safe, warm place".

I want to remember the end of WrestleMania XX, with JR's call & a moment when two great friends who'd been up and down the road together shared a genuine hug and moment of joy.

Never has Don Henley's song "Dirty Laundry" been more appropriate. Go dig it out and give a listen if you haven't heard it for a while. The mainstream media is so horny to pin this on "roid rage".

Ultimately, only three people know what really happened last weekend. And they are no longer able to tell us the truth of the matter.

Chris Benoit doesn't really need us condemning him to the depths of hell anymore.

The sad truth is, he did that to himself.

Never argue religion, politics, wrestling or the merits of individual wrestlers--no one else will recognize you for the expert you obviously are and resent your insistence that you're right and they all have s**t for brains.

A: Your a little late to some the points we've already crucified him for.

B: Yeah, what a legacy he traded in...once again no one in there "right" frame of mind would stoop to these depths. I rule it insanity but what was the trigger or snapping point? That's what we're all picking apart plus some of the ways the WWE came across with it's media relations. Jump in...just like Johnny Cash, "I've been everywhere." and so has this thread.

Why should he (Hogan)? Heck, why should WE? There are numerous tests which need to be done and then scienfitic conclusions can be made. That is areason why I have waited so long, even though I have less than a handful of posts myself here.

Do you only want to see him on CNN, Fox News, or MSNBC? Just because Jerico was contrite and very eloquent in his comments with Nancy Grace, but that does not mean that every performer needs to talk. Debra was on Fox for Derba and Fox will pay for her to appear. In that case, where was "The Rock"?

I, like many found out of his death when watching RAW on Monday. I was on the road for my job. Then all the police reports came out following the East Coast RAW airing. What seems to be sure is that he killed his wife and child. Therefore, he's no hero to me.

My parents, who would take me to matches and tapings, could care less since I am now grown. They still know about Flair and Hogan, but that's it. Plus they don't own WWE shares. (Aside: What have their shares done since Tuesday?)

As 'Divakind' put it; have sorrow for the two who lost their lives, not for te person who itt it from them. Lastly, this is not tragic, in the literal term, more pathetic (involving pathos over tragedty).

For what it's worth (nothing), when I realized Benoit and his family had been murdered, my first thought was that it was Kevin Sullivan. Of course all the evidence is pointing to Benoit, so that was simply my immediate reaction and is no longer what I believe to be true.

The only one of those question listed that I think is valid is the one about if he was good at typing or handling computers. The reason I say that is because the messages he sent to his friends seem like incomplete sentences that make no sense. Unless Benoit just doesn't know how to work text messages very well I find it hard to believe the most detailed guy in wrestling would be such a bad typer. Seems like a very good reason, among other things, to think this was a case of him going nuts and not steroids.

He'd just murdered his wife and child. Maybe he had more pressing things on his mind than sentence structure.

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

It's been what ... ten years? Anyone seriously considering Sullivan especially at this point really needs a healthy dose of reality. If it were three months later maybe it would have made some sense before the facts came out. Does anyone really believe that this guy has been sitting in a cave for the past decade stewing about this? Come on folks, people move on in life.

Amidst all the responses to the questions that involved regarding a possibility of a triple murder...nowhere in them are any answers to the questions. Just saying that it's not possible.

The goal wasn't to just hear a few "you're crazy, everyone knows Benoit did it all" responses. It was to at least pose those questions so that they're answered.

The shares closed at $16.38 on Monday, then dropped about 3% combined on Tuesday and Wednesday. They rebounded on Thursday to $16.26 before dropping to $15.99 at the close of business on Friday. A 2% drop in the 4 days after the Benoit case surfaced, give or take a fraction, thus they still are above the 52 week low of $15.35, but closer to that than the $18.60 high. Now, if the PPV buy rates and merchandise sales in the coming months are significantly lower, then this could be viewed as an event that caused the stock to plummet.

I'll take a crack at this. Based on what we've all read about the murders, the police determined that after Benoit killed his wife, he waited one day to kill his son and then one more day to kill himself. Time of death is usually determined by check the deceased's body temperature and applying a simple formula.

Benoit was the last to die, and since the police likely saw no signs of struggle related to his suicide, they ruled it a double murder-suicide.

Any theory about an alternate killer would have to explain why Benoit, after both his wife and son were killed, would choose to hang himself without putting up any struggle. Your theory would also have to explain how the killer managed to subdue Benoit for 48 hours, again without leaving any signs of struggle on Benoit's body.

Hope that puts that question to rest for you.

Which question? None of the actual posed ones were answered yet.

Again, I wasn't looking to be told that "Benoit did it. Anyone who thinks otherwise should be quiet." I was looking for answers to those questions.

Listen, I know how totally implausible the whole thing seems. But just because it's implausible (given a set of circumstances) doesn't mean it can't be true.

Just giving up on the possibility because there are numerous signs that point to a given conclusion would be careless. A little boy, a woman and a man are dead. To not at least look into the answers to these questions is cavalier, to say the least.
