My wife has the same basic type, except it has the color screen and the little window that shows the phone number, etc. This phone I have is the first "new" phone I have received since I have been with the company. I have been with my current employer for over 10 years and after 5 years of not even having a cell phone, all the others I got before this one were hand me downs from other employees. I like this phone fine, very sturdy. I don't spend a lot of time on the phone anyway, so I am not very fussy.

| #27 Posted on 14.8.07 2129.17 | Instant Rating: 5.76 | Well, I have finally updated my cell phone, having had my 2 year agreement with Verizon run out last month. As part of agreeing to sign another 2 year plan, I got to upgrade to the Chocolate LG, the black cherry version. It's pretty sweet, since I got VCast with it and most of the other bells and whistles.
The best part is that the phone would have been 150 bucks, but they took 100 off because of my signing a new agreement, and the final 50 I can send a mail-in rebate to take care of.
Anybody else recently upgrade their phone?

It'll do for the time being. I generally get a new phone every year.

Now I'm on prepaid T-Mobile with a Nokia 2610. I like the old one better; it a built in flashlight, less stupid options, and a longer battery lufe since it was just black and white.

I used to feel as you do but being out and about alot and often not near a landline, they come in handy. However, once I hit home, it goes off. What I would never do is only have a cell phone and no landline. When the tornados and weather that affected Greensburg hit, cell phones were useless in alot of places.
And along those lines we have a cordless and corded phone. When the power goes off, the one with the cord still works.

I'm still waiting for my cell service to come back
I'm switching to Verizon and I'll post the details of the new phone when I have it.

Then recently, after my move to New Mexico, I switched carriers, and went with Alltel, and got the LG Wave. It's kinda like the Razr, but a lot more stylish looking. It also is music player capable. It's a bad ass phone.
