The West Hartford suburbs (specifically, Avon/Simsbury) were up over $4.20/gallon. I had to hop over into Great Barrington to get sub-$4 gas last week, and that was $3.829.

Still $3.999, but the gas we got delivered today is going to cost us about $4.07 per gallon. So we're definitely going to be going up soon. Hopefully to $4.199.
Edit: Nope, went to $4.099. If people pay with credit or debit, we're actually losing money on the transaction.

Now $4.059 and climbing daily.
I've seen it as high as $4.15 in the 'Ville and with the floodwaters headed towards the Gulf of Mexico, there could be some negative effect on that region's refineries and their ability to continue to work and ship gas out to the rest of the country, so it could get a little worse going into early summer.

My local Exxon hit $4.369 at one point in the middle last week before settling down to $3.999 this weekend.

Our cost went up $.21 per gallon on Tuesday or Wednesday. If the cost doesn't fall again, you can expect the prices to go up either tomorrow or Monday. What I'm saying is get gas sooner rather than later.
Originally posted by dwatersI paid $4.13 today and I think I saw $4.19 on the highway at the rest stop.
I'm not seeing the headlines or news stories we got last time it went this high.
Coincidentally (I'm sure), Bush isn't in the White House.
We didn't get there, though - we pulled back from $3.999 earlier in the week back to $3.879 and falling. I think the Isaac stuff has worked itself out. (I hope.)
I still track gas prices whenever I check into a gas station on Foursquare, so they end up on CRZ.net - since I started keeping track, I've never happened to time a fillup above $4 or under $3.

Yeah, because other than that, the media always gives the exact same amount of coverage to the second time something happens as the first time. Must be bias--no other possible explanation.
I've actually seen a number of news stories about this already, but it won't be big news until it hits new highs. And then it will be, no matter who the President is.
The last time I paid over $4 a gallon ($4.059) was May 14, 2011, according to my fuelly in my sig. That same station is charging $3.739 a gallon today.
